Goldleaf - A Nintendo Switch multipurpose homebrew tool

Goldleaf

Goldleaf is a multipurpose homebrew tool for Nintendo Switch!

Goldleaf.1.jpg

Similar to the well-known 3DS homebrew FBI, Goldleaf serves as a file browser/manager/editor, title manager, user account manager... and more!

Let Goldleaf make your life easier while dealing with more or less technical Nintendo Switch stuff!

It would be awesome if you could dump a cart and install it directly or dump it to nsp or xci, install an xci directly , or convert xci to nsp.
These would be great if they were implemented. Thanks XorTroll for the work!

Can i install files over 4 gigs with USB installer on a sd card with FAT32? will it split the file automatically?

Or do i have to choose only Console memory(NAND) for that?

Gold leaf is also pretty slow when installing nsp's. Installed pokemon let's go using tinfoil only takes like 5 to 10 secs, using goldleaf takes like 3 mins to install the same nsp.
How you install a 4gb game in 5 to 10 seconds?

Guess I'll give this a try, since tinfoil's USB install never worked for me.
Features that I would like to see in the future: a dark theme and install from external HDD.

Tinfoil USB installation never worked for me, but this does! But like some people here said, sometimes it gives an error when you try to install something, the solution to this is press home button (to go home), disconnect the usb cable from the switch and connect again, open goldleaf and give it another try.

Dynasty Warriors 8 shows unknown supported version and tells me it's key generation 7? Anyone else having this issue?

Version 0.2 has been released!

Changelog
  • Supposedly, now those random crashes browsing menus or filesystems are fixed now.

  • When looking for the key file for NCAs or themes, now more names are sopported (not just keys.dat): keys.dat, prod.keys, keys.txt or keys.ini.

  • Fixed bug which would not install the selected theme if qlaunch was not extracted, and it would just extract it without processing the theme.

  • Now title 0100000000001013 is installed to qlaunch directory, previously user page themes wouldn't work for this issue.
Goldtree doesn't have any changes, only version number.

Happy New Year!
Please help me please renix 6.0.2 I'm using the 128 gb microsd card where the goldleaf is just trying pokemon evee doesn't open other installs do you think i am making the mistake.

When I use 32 gb micro sd card, the games running fat 32 tinfoil also don't work when I install this program now :(

USB is still a bit unstable and it can sometimes stop in the middle of the install as the README says

Main problem is three constantly running threads without sync between them. Also, one of them constantly redraws UI. What for? Either put all into one thread as with file install (it will be a little slower but rock stable), or add mutexes to buffer object. Anyway update UI only if there are some changes (after receiving next buffer via USB or writing it to placeholder).

This may sound stupid but a dark theme is what I want the most for this app right now.
I absolutely love the look of n1dus. ChoiDujourNX also has a very nice dark look. Something like that would be cool.

Guys, as you may know (if you were on the 3DS scene) the tool GodMode9 can rebuild CIA files from installed titles.
Well then, I'm glad to be the first one to bring that to homebrew, in the console itself, just requiring common keys (the ones required to extract a NCA), and no need to get your SD seed.

I've been working on this for several days, and it almost always works. As soon as I finished it, Goldleaf will be able to dump / export installed titles as NSPs.
Titlekey-crypto NSPs will be reencrypted with their own titlekeys to export ONLY stdcrypto NSPs.

Both NAND and SD titles work!

Yeah, guys, in-console NSP exporting / dumping is going to be a thing! (well, better said, it's already a thing!)

Nice, that is on my roadmap too. Keep the updates coming. From a legality standpoint, do you think its a good idea to convert the personalized tickets to standard automatically though? Also, some people might want the actual personalized tickets for legit same console backups, it would be great if it was an option to convert.

I do not know the right answer, I just know that could put you in legal peril (dark grey) which is why I removed title key dumping from Tinfoil.

Yeah, it would be better to let the user select that.
