I realised that part out for myself, it still didn’t work putting the files in the folder on the route.
If you managed to load the kip with atmosphére you only need slideNX folder, i do not know very well why it is not working, but try using kosmos

Would it be possible for you to create an Add-on for the NXThemes Installer to get this to work with it? That's literally the only other System-Module I (and many others) use and I think everyone would appreciate being able to have their custom sounds with a custom theme.

New version is out, now working with latest version of kosmos.

Hey man, so i tested it out and it works great but the only issue is that the MP3 files seem to be really sped up.
they're alot faster than they should be, how do i slow down the speed?
Also randomly it'll make the Attach-Detach sound now and again for no reason while i'm not even touching the console?

Other people have also told me that the audio is accelerated, although other people do not, about what it sounds randomly, at the moment the best way I've found to run Slidenx is to detect when the joycons are connected, and for example when you turn on the switch after standby mode, even if you have not uncoupled them, for the switch, it is as if they were reconnected

SlideNX

New release 0.15
- Improve Joycon attachment detection, now detach sound is not delayed

A work in progress module to change JoyCon attach/detach sound.

At the moment i was not able to mute default nintendo sound and it does not work with other modules at the same time

Download the latest release and extract it to the root folder of your SD card.

Now you can launch it with Hekate payload and Kosmos.
If you want it also in ReiNX copy "slidenx.kip" from modules folder to /ReiNX/sysmodules

How to use

(There are already mp3 files for testing)

Add the sound files you want to use to SlideNX folder

For changing the attach sound rename your mp3 to attach.mp3

For changing the disattach sound rename your mp3 to detach.mp3

This video is from an older version, so audio is delayed.

For getting rid of the default sound, the easiest way would be to replace the audio with silence right? Or is the codec they use not known or not available?
But, I guess if you could easily replace the sound there wouldn't be much point to this homebrew, unless you wanted more advanced functionality than what's built in, like randomized/shuffled sounds.

It's also super fast for me as well.

@jonyluke Thank you for your great work, but would it be possible to replace other sounds like the unlock sound? It would be Awesome to have smth like SoundNX to change all the sounds.

  • Code has been cleaned and improved (now almost all the actuals issues should be solved)
  • Switched to NSP instead of the old KIP format
