As the title says I think it would be cool to have a countdown (or countdowns) running on the home page for highly anticipated game releases
If "X" game is not considered highly anticipated it just won't be listedSounds like a cool idea but also bad at the same time. If they don't do most games, someone will wonder "Why wasn't the game I was looking forward to playing listed" or something like that.
Well, I didn't take that into considerationi would like to see this. i remember gbatemp front page with scene releases although of course there wasn't a countdown for that. Love the see actual Game releases. But isn't the front page a bit full right now with The download section and webcomic? Unless we can add/remove the sections.
And how exactly would it work as we still live in an age where diferent countries get games on different days/weeks sometimes still it's many months later. Which country would be used for the countdown!? If you use USA then how is that fair for people in Europe/Japan ect ect.As the title says I think it would be cool to have a countdown (or countdowns) running on the home page for highly anticipated game releases
Base it on system clock, maybe? I remember being able to do that with some JS code.I love the idea as an optional widget, but as mentioned by amadarose, what do we do for different timezones?
Make it based on you'r phone's timezone (it is posible but may require more time to set up)And how exactly would it work as we still live in an age where diferent countries get games on different days/weeks sometimes still it's many months later. It been an optional widget sounds good to meI love the idea as an optional widget, but as mentioned by amadarose, what do we do for different timezones?
Good questionBase it on system clock, maybe? I remember being able to do that with some JS code.
EDIT: Actually, would timezones matter if it's a countdown?
