It's absolutely pathetic, just pathetic, everyone playing on the sex game just to sell something. You know, like the trend in last few years when it comes to American TV shows (it's a trend, trust me, a trend, has nothing to do with American media caring about it, it's about you blogging about it, reblogging and creating free marketing for their show) that at least one moment, one episode, doesn't matter the show, there's just randomly thrown in some gay character or a gay kiss, at least one scene like that, just throw it in, to get attention from minority and so we're heard about, get more viewers. That's how bad the Nintendo joke is.

I haven't gotten the joke and I've been looking at it for a minute. After reading comments about being older and it being lewd with that in mind I still don't know what to look for. Like the other member said there is emphasis on the 'Nintendo Newsletter' From field and trying to put that together with long gaming sessions hasnt clicked.

I like the comic, it's good.

If you Google "let me smash" you'll be redirected to the meme this is all based on. You will understand then.

You could of just simply said you don't like it instead of giving us all a lesson about tv shows

Sorry, don't go now minimising and narrowing it down to as if I dont like something, as it's an individual thing, don't do that word play with me. I said it's a TREND, it has nothing to do with what I do or don't like. Intentional trend. People that watch TV shows will, should understand.

I'm pretty sure Nintendo wasn't making a joke with the e-mail title, the game was called "Smash" for about two decades before it became a common term for sex.

Sex has always been used in advertisement and as a hook for TV/movies, that's not a new phenomenon or trend. It's also not at all surprising that it's now being used more and more to sell to the LGBTQ community.

Now that it's been elucidated i get that the implication was in the title, also it was a real email.

I do look forward to more of your comics in the future. I like the flow and style, non tempy eyes for a change.

I think what threw me was the set up and assumed it was a joke about someone being tired of playing video games to long then got the email about smash on switch and playing it all the time everywhere and then the last panel he gets tweaked because he's exhausted and now excited to play again for longer.

The intended joke though was Nintendo sent out an email about smash coming out in a few days and people are making the title of the email out to be an innuendo.

Happens to me all the time.

-heavy flirt with a cute girl
-Ask her if she wants to come back to my place and smash ;)
-get back to my place
-"my body is ready", "be gentle, it's been a while"
-cut to close up of us heavy heavy panting and sweating
-zoom-out, punch-line of us playing melee/ultimate with motion control

Maybe I should make that into a comic. (have I ever mentioned I do arts?)

My comment still stands, this is a simple joke, if you don't like it then move on, instead of talking alot of crap about trends and tv shows.

You seem to be like one of those "fun" people at party's that always explains with long boring overblown replies.....Just look at your own comment over a simple joke that you didn't like....you just couldn't move on....you had to let it out. lol

The joke wasn't obvious for me either.
Well, in french, a Smash brawl session was also known as a "brawlette".

Haaa, poetry.
