Hacking Switch Informations by serial number - READ THE FIRST POST before asking questions

silly me i just bought one with XAJ40047 didnt look at the next number

Ive just purchased a brand new switch from EBGames for their Christmas sale, and according to the salesrep, they're all older consoles that have been sitting there for awhile so there's a very high chance that they're all hackable.

The one I got today confirmed hackable with XAW70011xxxxxx.

Wasn't sure what to do with this info, but it's worth looking into if stores are getting rid of old stock for Christmas sales.

Asked them to just take out a bunch so we could go through the different SN's, took the best one they had.

Serials beginning with XAJ4:
XAJ40052X and below are safe to buy
--->XAJ40053X and above not safe to buy, probably patched
XAJ4006XX and above definitely patched

Read it again and look at the second line text. Not sure what you are confused about; it says XAJ40053X and above is not safe to buy.

so what has changed?

We found a Switch that was under XAJ40052 and was patched, so the boarders were corrected.

oh i bought a 40047 :/ hopefully its not patched, wont receive it until december the 23rd so i can't check right now

Depends on the store, I walked into target and got a 1.0.0 a few months back because it was at the front of the display case and they fill it from the back so it was never sold

In the first post I could not find the serial code .. it has indeed three zero's after the XAJ7. In the list from the first post there are only two.
Can you give me some info before I decide to buy or not.

I mean it coud be read that it fits the scheme "XAJ7004000X and below" because XAJ7000 is below XAJ7004, but a "thumbs up" from an expert would be highly appreciated.

000 is lower then 001, so yes, those are safe.

Firmware has nothing to do with a hardware exploit like Fusee Gelee.
