Final Fantasy spinoff War of the Visions: Brave Exvius announced in Japan

Square Enix Japan has announced War of the Visions: Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, due to release in the east sometime next year. The official website for the game and teaser trailer are light on information, with the only definitive facts being that it will be a tactical RPG, and mobile developer gumi will assist with creating the game. No platform was announced, however Brave Exvius currently is a Final Fantasy spinoff game for iOS and Android, which may lead to believe that this too will be released on smartphones.

In this war-torn world with sword in hand, for what would you fight—what would you protect. ...The Visions are with the ring…

Gonna call it now: Brave Exvius will shut down, and will be replaced with War of the Visions - Brave Exvius.
EDIT: Now I feel dumb, since War of the Visions is a tactical RPG, unlike the former who is a turn-based RPG.

So a unoffical Final Fantasy Advance 2 sucessor then? I wished they just would make a Advance 3 for NX (Advance 2 already was a NDS game, therefore there shouldn't be a problem with the name).

This game seems too good with the amazing music to be just another mobile game, I hope it's a console game

If mobile, yuck and no thanks. I guess there's like a small chance this could be a spiritual successor to FFT, but let's not hold our breath.

It's a shame. FFBE has a great story, an amazing soundtrack and lovely sprite art, but god damn... mobile gaming is just plagued with gachas. It's quite disappointing that SE has fallen so low in their means of making money.

Considering how quickly this got announced after telling Belgium that all their current mobile games are being taken away because of the anti-gambling laws, this is either Square rubbing it in their faces hoping to get enough of their Belgian fans to complain to the government and get the laws overturned so they'll get the mobile games back, OR Square is trying to quickly come up with a gacha-free mobile game that would pretty much dominate the Belgian market completely since it's essentially the only one.

(I'll say it again, Square. In-game ad-revenue and MMO-style purchases if you're determined to have an in-game store. Do that on a mobile game, and not only will it most-likely be allowed in Belgium and all of the other European countries currently against loot-boxes, but it'll dominate because it'll be the only major one on the market.)

LOL ...no disrespect to any Belgians, but SE don't care about Belgium because it's tiny - it's total population accounts for a tiny percentage of Europe as a whole... and of that population, how many hardcore SE mobile game fans could there be?
