the one you found is not the real URL, it's someone who made that dynamic domain points to the correct IP?
the original website is not down, only the domain name has not been renewed (paid), so you either need to put the domain you want to use (invent one, or use the old one) in your hosts file, or find another url pointing to that IP (like you found).

How do I use this to "inject" Super Smash Bros Brawl and Melee? I have the wbfs and iso for them from my own copies.

I have Melee 20XX installed on my Wii U menu a long with other gamecube games like Mario Sunshine Multiplayer. Injecting Wii games aren't stable I think. I can't connect my Wiimote when I inject wii games so I just use Usb loader gx on vritual wii. i also have nintendon't on virsual wii. I wish I had brawl infinity on my Wii U but you need a Wii 2 gig sd card for brawl mods :/

Just got my Wii U in the mail today so about to start with things soon. Reading through it seems you can only load from the SD card - is that still the case? I only planned to keep a large SD card for the initial backup and then switch to a smaller one since I will be using an external drive. If games can only be loaded from SD then that changes my plans. Guess I was spoiled with the original Wii and using the Wii Backup Manager or the like.

Also, someone mentioned being able to use the same drive for Wii U and vWii, but the original post said it wasn't possible?

veekay,

I come back from out of town in a couple days, then start modding my Wii U (it currently has 5.5.2 and Loadiine), but from what I understand, it seems the best approach is to have Wii U titles on SD card, and all else (Wii, GC, homebrew, emus/retro games) on an external HDD.

games are not "loaded" from SD, but they need to be first on SD in order to transfer them to internal memory or HDD. then you can delete them from SD.
the SD is a temporary transition, so you need at least a 23GB SD Card free space if you plan to install big games.

once you installed your games to the console, you are free to use a smaller SD card for everyday homebrew needs.

it's still not possible to use the WiiU HDD in vWii mode.
what you can do is install Wii games in WiiU mode. never launching vWii mode yourself, you don't use USB Loaders or vWii homebrew.
look for the WiiVC injector script thread if you want that.

Hello, I just signed up to this forum to see if I can get some help with some problems I'm having. Forgive me if this is the incorrect thread for my question.

I have finally set up USB Loader GX successfully on my Wii U's vWii. I've got three games on my USB drive, all formatted .wbfs, and they all load up and play as they should. However I can't seem to load a second game after the console has been powered on. So what happens is I load Game 1 > exit to the Wii Menu > go back into the loader > select Game 2 > console freezes on that infamous black screen. I've replicated this several times. When I unplug the console and retry Game 2 it works fine but if I go back to Game 1 or try Game 3 I get the freeze/crash. Also I discovered the same thing will happen if the first game I load is a GC game in Nintendont.

Obviously this is just an inconvenience as all that really matters is I can play my backups but it would be very nice to be able to switch games without having to restart the console every time.

why do you post your problem in a random thread?
this one is used to play WiiU games in WiiU mode.
it has nothing to do with vWii or USBLoaderGX.

There is an official USBLoaderGX thread for issues with that loader.
to answer you anyway, I don't know why you have this problem. not sure anyone know either. try a different hdd, be sure you use d2x r52 and not r53. try IOS58 in the loader's settings. that's all I can think to be possible cause or possible fix, but no promise.

Sorry, I thought I posted in the right thread! Shows you how long it's been since I've been on a traditional forum. I will find the right thread.

this one is talking about installing WiiU games to the console.
the Wii's USBLoaderGX is in the Wii section of the forum, not on the wiiu, but specify that you are using it on a WiiU as some compatibility can be different.
Though, I answered you already (maybe you didn't notice, I'm that loader's developer): I don't know what your problem is nor how to fix it. Try another loader to see if it's having the same problem. it's probably a hdd issue.

Hey there. Is there a database of SHA-256 or other checksums for Wii U games in their encrypted, sparse (.app, .h3, ...) format? For... bookkeeping purposes, since a .tmd only contains SHA-1 hashes for decrypted files.

Hi,

I spend a day on this. My goal is to install games for my WiiU 5.5.3 on an external HDD 1gig with self power.

I found so many things online. So many tutorial. I manage to get haxchi running on the WiiU. I found out how to load WiiU usb helper with the title key website setup on it. Very often, the title key website seems to be down somehow...

Now, about CFW, I'm stuck there. I'm a bit lost. Is it possible to permenantly install a CFW (do we need too?) to be able to load games install (backup) on the usb HDD? When I started this little project this morning I was so sure that I only had to download some iso and push them on a HDD with the WiiU running a CFW...

Is it possible that all those sites needed to install games on usb HDD are just dead now?

If you're trying to run a game in your region that doesn't have any dlc you don't have to run any cfw.

If you're trying to run a game that's in a different region or a game that has dlc that you've added (i.e. Smash Bros, Mario Kart 8) you need cfw. Mocha CFW is an example, you could run it every time you want to play an out of region game or dlc. Or you could get coldboot haxchi where it automatically boots you into CFW and you don't have to run anything. I wouldn't say it's necessary but it makes things easier if you want to run an out of region game or dlc from time to time.

Thanks for the reply.

Is anyone able right now to connect to the titlekeys website? I think my problem is from this end. The WiiU usb helper doesnt load anything. I tried a lot of workaround I found online but no luck. I always get the message about the title keysite may be down.

So.. I did everything properly! Somehow this morning the title key website is back online and I manage to get some software to run perfectly.

Thanks for the help.

It's down a lot. You could try Funkii UI I've never used it but some say it's a little less user friendly that usb helper.
Thanks for that cue! It's work perfectly in terminal. Less graphic but Funkii UI give you all the control with a very simple python script.

Hey guys I am gonna post my question here also, as maybe this is a more relevant thread.

I have downloaded wii sports club using usb loader and I installed it succesfully to my wii u (using also the available update also from usb helper).

But the game says it is a 24h trial. Why is that?

Did I do sth wrong?

Thanks!
