Miiverse was a failure from the start, from launch till rediesign till discontinuation. Can anyone name a time Nintendo made a single successful online service?

I admire your sentiment, but...
Can anyone name a change.org petition that had anything to do with video games that was instrumental in actually changing anything?
Change.org, more like HopelessProtestThatWillAlwayBeIgnored.org amiright.
I mean there was a petition for thanking the bus driver in Fortnite and that happened, I guess change.org is simply a way for companies to increase their PR, they don't have to listen but if they want the consumers to like them they should.

Just because you didn't like it doesn't mean it was bad.
The thing is that it was bad, I used it a lot and tried hard to love it because of my innate childhood love for Nintendo but there was, simply put, too much toxicity, then the dreaded and pointless 30 post/comment daily limit, the fact that you could only post while playing a game (post-redesign), except for "Discussions", but you had to close your last discussion in order to post another one, so no one could comment on your previous discussions and they were essentially forgotten. And don't forget the broken and evil Miiverse admins who randomly took away my access to Miiverse twice, each for one month, both for posts that did not violate the Miiverse CoC, however I couldn't message a human admin about it because....I couldn't access Miiverse. I couldn't even see what post had got me blocked, I only found out 30 days after. A post containing any kind of friend code, ID or social tag would get removed immediately and the poster would get a strike. Other than that the software itself had too many bugs, and it was always getting hacked toward the end of its life by the likes of Arian. Miiverse is one thing to which I would easily say good riddance, for all the reasons stated above and more. Nintendo's vision for Miiverse was definitely a great one, however the execution was utterly horrible. The "Switch" to the standard social networks was probably one of the best decisions Nintendo's made in recent years, next thing is to add native apps for Facebook and Twitter...

That still doesn't mean it was bad. I never had any issues posting.
