how come no one ever makes a thread on 'everything wrong' with other 'firmwares' and officially the other firmware is also still in beta its 0.xx release, until its 1.xx release its not even beta, its alpha. -- don't ever say you have not had crash or corruption in another firmware when using exfat either, just review all the other threads you will see there is issues there also. -- and its open-source so anyone can help fix it, does not mean really anything, since there only 2 or 3 people with skills to do so, so having 100,000 people viewing source code does not fix bugs either! :)

I agree with you, people need to know what a BETA is... a testing phase lol.

This is true as fuck. :yay:
Only 2 or 3 people really contribute to the code.
99% of people in that community are just idiots with no knowledge that just use the software without giving anything and that leech.
I’m pretty sure even if someone added a brick code to the source code. No one will notice it.
Yeah open source is cool. But it doesn’t really matter if you can’t fucking read or understand it.
Fucking hypocrites.

I mean, I could gladly make a thread bashing other CFW. Problem is, the CFW you conveniently steal from takes longer to produce things because they generally do it right the first time and don't promote their in-progress work on public forums with the same grandeur as their regular releases. Atmosphere for the most part has been bug free because they took a lot of time to iron out the bugs, which has resulted that the bugs that are in release builds are easily fixed. Compare the 23 releases of SX OS to Atmospheres 6. Several of your releases have been nothing but bug fixes and patches which were taken from Atmosphere at the time they got merged.

This results in Atmosphere being incredibly stable and having little in it's feature set to directly criticize for being buggy or not working as advertised. The only criticism I can level is that SciresMs perfectionism can sometimes slam a bit through on a lot of things, such as pointlessly delaying the 0.7 release to bikeshed over the documentation.

There's no features that barely work or risk causing bricks. The features it has are mostly bug free. They take extra measures to try and prevent bans. This all was at launch. All of which are things your product has taken very little caution around or hasn't done at all I might add.

I'd dig into the details of reiNX if need be, but that doesn't really matter here since you don't steal from them.

Thats not true. People make builds of commits of Atmosphere, like SDFiles. This gets tested by people which result in more commits with fixes.
A build of the commit is just like release of SXOS. But you dont count commits

Except they're never advertised with the same grandeur on GBATemp. I don't think the SDFiles or any guide ever got front-paged before 0.7 came out. Every single SX OS release has been front paged.

That attracts a different scale of audience.

If people creating new stuff want articles front-paged about them they only need talk to me about it. The only difference is that TX has someone here that is willing to write posts for the front page about them.

I just think it still says quite a bit that they keep going through writing these posts even for their beta releases.

Switch doesn't even use an OS

Ummmmmm what? the switch doesn't use an OS? So the Switch doesn't have an OPERATING SYSTEM? so what is Horizon then?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

don't ever say you have not had crash or corruption in another firmware when using exfat either

Actually...i can say that. Because i've never had a single issue of EXFAT corruption nor have i ever had any crash on ReiNX(only started using Atmosphere recently so i wont say anything about that just yet)

Horizon is a FW, not an OS

if you wanted tx team to know your opinion, you could have sent them an email or you could have opened this thread on their own forum.

it is a beta release.

for me, it is the best one so far.

of course it can be optimized. it has a new feature that has just been released and it is still under test.

you don't like it? feel free to use the stable ones.

nobody is forcing you to use it, to use exfat and corrupt you sd card.
