This will be a nice way to watch stuff on my TV now.
I don't even know why am I still paying for TV cable and the fact my TV just has one HDMI port doesn't help much (I'm too lazy to constantly jack the HDMI cable on the dock and the coder whenever I want to watch something) so having youtube on the Switch now is pretty cool.

I think it's still a half-assed excuse. There's no logical explanation for a lack of Netflix or Prime, either, so yeah. Kinda stupid IMO.
think it like this.
leaving the main door of your house open gives you the convenience of not having to open said door every time you want to leave your house, but at the same time it leaves your house completely unprotected from burglars.
for what we have learned, multimedia apps are a goldmine of exploits, so it's logical to stay away from them as much as possible, or at least until you can install a force field style door that doesn't let in exploits.

I don't think the Wii U had any problems with Netflix or Hulu? I'm pretty sure YouTube was fine as well. Even if they did they can be easily patched with a firmware update/application update.

YT, yes, but Netflix and Amazon Prime? I still think it's BS, but whatever.

It's cool that it's here for people who don't have any other means of watching YT on their TVs, but to me personally this has no value.
Now, if it had YT Premium features, like downloading videos for on the go when you're offline, that'd be a different story but this?
As fa as I can tell you can't even upload your own video captures (yeah, they're only 30 secs, but still.)

That's nice and all, but I'm waiting more for Netflix.
I rather have an integrated Web BROWSER that way I can access YouTube while playing a game!

Anybody knows if we can LayeredFS this app so we can use it over the "News" app? That could be a solution.
The Switch needs an revision, just so the os can do more things.

Anyone having issues with docked mode? I haven't had the chance to test my first party dock yet but this app gives me no audio on my third party docks.

dude, there's one thing called HDMI Hub, it allows you to plug multiple device at same port, then just press a button to switch signal.
