Hacking Just got a 3DS XL with a Sky3DS (blue button), need help setting it up

I have just brought a 3DS XL which came with a Sky3DS (blue button cart). It came with a 64gb card with a few games on it. What I want to do is setup another card with different games on it, I don't want to erase anything on the card that came with it in case I loose everything.

I have downloaded the latest version of Diskwriter and a template file as per instructions I found online. I have run the Diskwriter program and formatted the 64gb card and written a game to it, when I put Sky3DS cart in the 3DS nothing shows. I am confused about the template file. Can anyone give me some guidance please?

I have owned a 3DS XL with a Gateway, that was easy to setup and use. The Sky3DS is puzzling me!

I know this is an old post but out of curiosity, why did you tell him to go to a post when he could have just went to the website http://www.sky3dsplus.net/ ? I have CFW on my 3DS but at the time i had a Sky3ds+ also and at the website they clearly give you steps to take to set the card up. Noob proof if you can read. Again im not mad or anything but was just curious.

But why a flashcard? Use luma and you should be fine.

Get the Skycard, throw it in the bin, read 3ds.guide. Done

or sell it.. thats what i did as it was pretty pricey.. but I personally much prefer cfw, it was pretty annoying to scroll between games on the sky3ds..

I did it too many years ago, find out that sky released some new cards, but the guide is much better.

Lol np dude. Like i said i was once a sky3ds+ user till i installed CFW. Just check out Frogminer.

No need for flashcards, that's what Frogminer is. No need to spend $2 for game.

Guys my 3DS is on 10.1.0-27E, on the payload download page I can't get the right numbers in the firmware box! does this mean I need to update the firmware?

Just update your 3ds to the latest firmware then look up frogminer

Soundhax is easier/faster than Frogminer. And it is possible to select 10.1.0.27-e
