Hey guys i will try to make this short but anyways i created this thread and hopefully it will help others with the same issue as mine as well.

anyways i am a tx os cfw user i previously once updated my switch from 5.x up to 6.0 using ChoiduJourNX i chose the exfat option and all was dandy.

but some days ago i saw update nags poppin up whenever id launch any NSP game(update nags for the recent 6.0.1 fw), so i decided to power off my switch and then booted into OFW from the tx menu.

i then went ahead and updated from the system itself =_= i had no idea it would break the exfat support.

now my switch does not read my exfat sd card anymore it is a 200gb sd card and i am rly not looking forward to backing that all up , would like to know if there is any way to add exfat support ?

when i have it inserted my switch tells me "A system update is required to use the microSDXC memory card" and when i select System Update nothing happens , i am already on the latest fw.

please let me know if theres a way to get this to read my exfat sdcard without me needing to backing it all up and opting to format it as fat32..
itd be annoying to split the few xcis but no idea if there is a way to split nsps.
hope someone can help me out with this.

Weird.
Anyway, the easiest way: Get 6.0.1 update (or the latest) and reinstall it with choidujourNX and choose exfat. That should do the job hopefully.
that was the plan, i plugged in a 4gb mSD fat32 so that it is readable on my switch.
i tap the album icon and tx menu comes up showing the homebrew stuff, but when i open choidujour i get a error code.. :l

So u used the hack method to get exfat support but later legitimately update to the newest firmware? Why don't you just install the legit exfat update now?

Happened to me except I don't use sx os. I updated via offical method. and lost exfat support, and had the same issue. I used ChoiduJourNX to fix it.

So even if the sd card is already exfat supported when you uodate fw the exfat support for the card needs to be updated as well? Is this the case for any fw update?

wait does that work? even if it is a system that never had exfat support? i had no idea and still went the old way for my friends switch and then did the firmware update like this.

i thought it was an option to select which one you already had, not to install!

It's an option to select which one you want to install.

Worked for me

No. For whatever reason when picking what fw to install you have 2 options, exfat or non. Picking non exfat will make it so your console just won't be able to to read anything exfat, which is the primary sd format. So if you use choice update, just make sure you know what you are picking
