hey guys, i always use autorcm since i never power my switch off.

and i rly like it, but i updated earlier and i think it broke autorcm? i think i need to use tegrasmash to boot into tx fw.

id like to know how to avoid this from happening again, would i have needed to update from cfw?

Official system updates remove AutoRCM because they update boot0 which is firmware-specific and where AutoRCM is installed.
that's no biggie, i installed autorcm again, but now it always pops this message "a system update is required to use the microSDXC memory card" it says this despite me being on 6.0.1

what do i do?

That's because the firmware you are on is missing the exFAT patch. If it was applied to a previous firmware, it needs to be reapplied either with ChoiDujourNX or by downloading the exFAT patch again via the prompt.

damn ,had no idea.
can you link me to that choidujour thing.

also weird thing is, now when i boot tx cfw it takes very long to boot unlike before on 6.0 it was normal.
and also the album icon does NOT open the tx menu.. guess my switch doesnt read the sd card
i updated to 6.0.1 to get rid of the update nag when launching any title.

can you please link me to that patch please thanks!

ChoiDujourNX is a homebrew application that installs firmware files and can patch whatever firmware you feed it to include exFAT. You just have to obtain the firmware files elsewhere since they are copyrighted. The thread gives you hints on where to obtain them.

gotcha thanks, so after i obtain the 6.0.1 fw and install it with choidujour it'll still update my console even though it's already on the latest?

though the thing is there's no way for me to access hbm to use choidujour... q.q

Buy if you already update vía official method, just download and apply the patch. Is easier than you have to search for all the stuffs you need
how do i apply it? i have no more hbm access.
album does nothing even though I'm on tx cfw, i still have access to the tx os menu ,so let me know what i can do to fix this sd card issue.

You already burn fuses so you dont care to go and enter OFW. Just turn on your console and start OFW (If you have autorcm enable, select OFW from sx os menu). Then apply the patch and thats it

it don't work, i try to boot in both ofw and cfw but no dice.

the pop up comes and tells me to update system in order to use my sd card, when i select to update it says your system is already up to date

Well in that case you have to format your SD card to fat32 instead of exfat. Or just use a new one. Then you can access to the album again and install your firmware using choidujour. Just make sure to aply exfat

i have a lot of games installed , is there no way to fix this without losing my data and needing to reinstall it all?

q_q"

@Draxzelex mate can't i simply backup all the data from my current exfat msd and then format it to fat32 and paste the data back onto it, will my switch read my stuff again that way?

and also for next time, is it better to stick to fat32? as no patch would be needed for that when updating..

hmm but then again there are nsps that exceed 4gb how do ppl install those when they use fat32 extension :/ ?

You could just backup your SD card, format it to FAT32, and do that if you can't be troubled to install the exFAT patch. As for installing .NSP files larger than 4 GB, use either network or USB installation.

oh usb installation? i need to look that up, and also i have no clue how to install that darned patch.. the system whether i boot into cfw or ofw tells me to update the console in order to use the exfat sd, but when i select update it doesnt do anything other than telling me I'm already on the latest hmm, i wish there was a way to patch the sd via pc.
