Now, where do you recommend I go when I want to get hacks on my 3ds? I've followed all the steps with Frogminer, and even after that, but any and all guidance would be greatly appreciated

If you've finished the frogminer guide, you've already hacked your 3DS. Did it not work? Do you mean like rom hacks? There's a forum just for that stuff, check it out and you might find some things you want to try.
Someone please could help me with those questions? I dont know much about the 3DS scene. Thanks in advance.
1) Flashcards: It is not necessary to repeat everything about DS-flashcards. Just look here:

You do not need an expensive(!) flashcard for 3DS games. CFW can do much more and is free.
2) CFW: It gives you access to emulators for NES, SNES, Genesis, GB(C) and some other. New 3DS can emulate GBA and you can use Virtual Console injection to run GBA games directly. You can install any 3DS games. Many DS games also work without a flashcard:

You said, you don’t know much about the 3DS scene. I’d recommend you to to some reading. Take your time. Almost anything you need to know about hacking your 3DS is on

The only part, that is not (yet) on the guide is Frogminer. If you are on a firmware >=11.4 and do not own a ntrboot compatible flashcard, you can update to 11.8 and use Frogminer for installing B9S and Luma free.

If you carefully read the guide(s) and directly follow each step there is not much risk to brick your device. It is pretty safe and almost foolproof.
About online play and bans… I do not know from own experience (never played online in my life with anything and I never play games without paying for them). So I can only repeat what is always said about this here on GBAtemp:
Do not do anything stupid like cheating online, playing pirated games online BEFORE they are officially released and deactivate “Sending of System Information” and “Show friends what you’re playing”. You should be fine then.
I've been out of the 3ds hacking scene for a really long time. How long? So long that I still use a Gateway card. After all, I bought it before Luma came out and even though it's no longer officially supported, it still did a pretty good job when it comes to whatever I wanted to do with it. Even online play. I installed this frankenfirmware emunand here and used it along with freemultipatcher to play online. Then 11.8 came out and I was unable to play online anymore. However, I read somewhere that even if you can't update to the latest version on Gateway emunand, you can spoof your firmware by updating cver, nver, friends, eshop and eshop mint using sysupdater in emunand to access online features. Would that be safe to do on this frankenfirmware emunand I'm currently on? And if the answer is yes, are these the things I need to update?

My Old 3DS is physically broken and getting harder to keep repairing, and I found a cheap New 3DS that I might pick up. I'd like to keep both running but might have to System Transfer to the New one.
Anyway, the Old one has Boot9strap and Luma3DS with several modified, unofficial, and freeShop CIAs installed. I'm mainly wondering if there's any risk involved with transferring that stuff to an unmodified N3DS, be it bricking or losing certain apps or what-not. Would it be more safe somehow if the N3DS is modified first?
I also have a large collection of badges (legit, not custom) and I heard somewhere that badge collections can't be transferred. True/false?

Hey! I did not use my 3DS for a long time. When I booted up my them is gone and it is just this standard them. Also: Some games don't have these animations on the upper screen. Right now I am nut sure if I already updated to B9S from A9LH. Should I just update B9S and Luma?

but my 3DS was accidentally updated by my cousin a couple months later, so I couldn't access the CFW anymore. At this point, I decided to just replace the files on my 3DS with the ones I backed up originally, since I figured that'd get rid of the CFW, but I never actually had the chance to uninstall it because after the update I couldn't access it anymore.If I wanted to hack my 3DS again, would this increase the chance of bricking/ruining my system or will it not matter? I'm really unsure whether I should attempt it or not.

Did you delete your Themes folder? What do you mean with "animations" on the top screen? Lastly, what happens if you press Select while booting?
Nothing seems to happen at all when I start while pressing or holding select. Keep in mind I replaced the files that were on my SD card and have updated since then if that changes anything.
Hmm. You said you didn't uninstall it, and if you really installed CFW, it should still be there.
You used a Homebrew Launcher thing only, for themes or save managing, or could you also install games?
I used homebrew launcher and installed something from that, I don't remember what it was though but it was so I didn't have to go through browserhacks and could boot into the homebrew launcher instead. I wasn't able to play pirated 3DS games or anything with it though.
Oh, so you had menuhax. That is not CFW, and yes, you "uninstalled" it.
