Looks like I'm back I can't find anything on Google about these games. The OneDrive backup of AP patches won't let me search it up and since rom websites have been shutting down. I've had to look for alts. The two roms I've got have no number in their name to easily skim through the patches. The website is legit I've used it many times. But can someone at least point me in the right direction for the AP patches? Or is bootstrap Auto patch now with twilightmenu.

Wrong. Many DS games have AP checks.

Then can someone give me the number for both the games. The one that is at the beginning of the Ap patch name.

Games with AP "features" came later in the DS lifespan. Yoshi's Island DS probably does not have any (2006).
Among others there are some popular examples with AP "features":

• Bowsers Inside Story (2009) - not completely sure about this one
• Pokemon HeartGold/Soulsilver (2010)
  
• Kirby Mass Attack (2011)
• Pokemon Black/White 1/2 (2011 and 2012)

Starfy was released in June 2009 for USA I found an article explaining Ap for ds that dates back to may 2009. So does starfy have it. Hopefully Robz8 knows. I get starfy isn't really as much popular as Mother here (another game where most games are only japan). But it still has a sizable fanbase.

i mean, there's no harm in trying them to check before you ask if you need one, i doubt they'd cause damage to your system, they'd just... not run

Hm yeah but some Ap is really sneaky like Earthbound where your led to believe your safe but poof your save is gone at the end of the game.

Well I remember nearly beating Starfy and it froze near the end, I forgot if it wiped my save or something, but I gave up for some reason and never played again, so I think I probably lost progress (maybe even the whole save, I cannot remember)

Chrono Trigger also had it, and it released 11/25/2008. As for Starfy, not seeing anything.

what are you playing it on?


i remember being very active and up to date with the scene. when games first came out, if it had AP, then u either had to wait for a patch, or apply some code to ByPass it. But then eventually your loader or the firmware for ur flashcard would get updated to auto bypass that particular AP and you had to start using CLEAN roms to play those games.

So for example...if u grab the latest wood r4 version or whatever its called..u could play a clean pokemon black 2 rom now since the AP bypass should be built right into the wood r4 firmware.

dont quote me on exact firmware names and what not as my post is just strictly memory, but the point im trying to get across is that once you are using the latest version of what is available, you shouldn't have to worry (since the DS is no longer being updated at this point)
