Im at 5.0.1 and using SX OS Emunand and its 2.0.1. After I install several nsp games I noticed that games becomes unplayable after a few restarts. It shows a cloud icon above the game and it says "game is need to be downloaded". What am I doing wrong?

'Game needs to be downloaded' means that you're running official firmware. Make sure you're in SX OS mode

sounds like files became corrupted or corrupted as in fake microsd
how much space have you used on the microsd

you could delete some games then reinstall this game that is currently not working and see if it works

I have a 200 GB microsd card and about half of it is empty. For example I installed "Broforce" a few days ago and played it. After a couple of restart I noticed the cloud icon and reinstalled it. Played it couple times again and now its cloud icon...

how are you installing it? sounds like after you install the nsp, it overwrote some of your games making it think you only have the updates/dlc for the games. try reinstalling those games.

-put the nsp files on the sd card
-open sx emunand and nsp installer
-install them and delete installer files

You need to unlink the two nands after creating emunand

The reason is when linking Sysnand and Emunand will share the same Nintendo folder on your SD while having different ticketblobs. When Emunand installed more games than Sysnand, all of them on Emunand will be archived completely when trying to access Sysnand after a deep reboot, access Data Management or download game on eShop. Because Sysnand's ticketblob doesn't recognize the installed data.

Thus, we need to unlink them. When booting to a wrong nand with wrong Nintendo folder, the system will ask you to DELETE rather than DELETE without asking when linking nands.

There's a tutorial around.

Cheers.

If you have a low FW like below 3.01 it might happen some day in the long term future that you could simply press Power button and the console would boot directly to a fully custom OS or a small CFW or Linux or whatever...

Or even below 4.1 you might be able to load CFW doing something in the console software without needing payloads, chips, mods, jigs... The lower the FW the better.

So emunand CFW is the perfect hassle free way of leaving the console in a low FW while having a CFW fully updated to play backups, homebrew.....

It also gives more safety to try dodgy beta\alpha stuff in a safe environment where it won't make your console brick, it might just require to make a new emunand.

There are more reasons too...

I found if you convert games from xci to nsp on the emunand and then install - it corrupts other games already installed. If you convert xci games on the PC to nsp and then install - the games don't get corrupted. It could be down to the way the micro sd is formatted, but some data on on your card is being corrupted - hence the games not loading after some time.

Sure you haven’t got your sd cards mixed up, maybe you installed nsp on one and used another thinking you installed them on that one. Just a thought?

No, no. I only use one sd card and I install all games on it. I think whenever I install new games, my existing games dissappear.

seems like all these issues are coming from using emunand. Is there even any reason to use it?
I know right?! Seems like too many are having issues. My Switch is setup with OFW 6.0 + SX OS 2.0.1 + NO EMUNAND + NO AUTORCM = Very Very HAPPY :)

*No issues whatsoever; all the NSP games have been working flawlessly, hope this helps.
