I won't be updating at the moment, so I'm good.

If you had a game with pirated DLC, then let that game connect to the eshop to check for updates... yeah, getting banned isn't too surprising.

If you don't, the game won't run... I took the risk. With old firmware nothing happened, but 6.0 breaks the game... reinstallation of the game results in a banned. I took the risk, but I did the honourable thing to warn others.

Is this a ban report even worth collecting? I already have enough evidence that .NSP files can cause bans (though .NSP-only bans only started on firmware 6.0 for some reason). This seems more like a witch-hunt than an actual analytical breakdown of what causes a bans.

And just so we're all on the same page, we're up to now 11 cases of homebrew only bans. A pinball game is certainly the least of your worries.

I have a clean hack-free NAND and deleted all of my Wi-Fi settings in my console. The only way I would be banned for installing this DLC is if I happen to walk past a Nintendo Hotspot. A smart person can avoid a ban no matter what hacks they use.

Nope. I went online every week to check out new games on the eShop. In fact I use the eShop a couple minutes before running that Pinball game. Right after running it and getting error messages, I went back to the eShop and got a banned message.
