That's a terrible idea.
Rather than checking Scires's twitter, you'd be better off checking the Atmosphere github which as you can see is still being actively developed.
As long as the team working on Atmosphere has access, that's all that matters.
It's a perfect idea.
This file it's reported as malware on Firefox, I use the old way, enter manually on IRC and send the command to the bot.
Not exactly a perfect idea, but I wouldn't mind if they kept certain things closed source for a certain amount of time.
People paying for CFW deserve the slap in the face when they realise that they paid for open source ready to use software.
It is sad that this is a thing in the first place, but even if they deny the fact it is nice to see how hard they try defending their poor choice...

Sure there's SX OS, but really what's wrong with that? Let those users use whatever they want, they aren't asking you for money to pay for it.
Not happy? Well try taking Team Xecuter to court over infringement of the GPL license, good luck with that.
Sorry but that's just how things are, the whole close-source mentality just doesn't have any pros, but only cons in this case.

- First off, there will be no way to compile things yourself and test them out.
This kills of the great majority of testers right off the back.
- Second, not being able to see the source kills off any potential feedback, not so say that this also excludes any people that could or would want to make pull requests and give help to the repository.
Access would be closed-off to the already limited group they have for Atmosphere development.
- Why does it matter if others use the already available code?
Isn't that the point? So that others can make their own stuff and perhaps even improve over it?
This leads directly to pull requests and commits from other people, just so you know.
I feel as if you people don't even know how forks on GitHub work, hell I even dare say you don't know how GitHub works at all.

Closed-source projects are nothing but bullshit and benefit no one, nor does it benefit the scene. Period.

As draconian as Nintendo, your as bad as Nintendo, if you think this way, heck your as bad as any company that does something like this because if it's closed source, it will basically be what's happening with these streaming services, exclusive stuff to certain services, which is why people are ditching these services and going back to piracy, you make a closed source CFW and it becomes much much worse but if you wanna play this game, go ahead.
We will see who is correct, if it does become closed source, which is unlikely, Xecuter will just hack it and do it there way.
