Hacking New 2DS XL Doesn't read any of my flash carts (DSTwo, QQ3DS, QQ3DS - DS ONLY)

Title pretty much says it all, my new 2ds xl does not read any of my flash carts. I have a DSTwo, a QQ3DS, and a QQ3DS DS only.

The only hint of life i get from any of them is the QQ3DS that lights up and flashes for a few seconds when its inserted. I spent most of the day yesterday, intermittently, trying to get them to work and didn't get anywhere so here I am. I have been to each of their websites and checked for updated firmware and such. I will also add that I do not have an older console to update the DSTwo. All of these carts worked on my new 3ds xl I had about 6 months ago.

I've gotten them all working except the DSTwo. I borrowed a friend's 3ds running 11.5 and it doesn't do anything in that system either. I've followed the directions on DSTwo several times and haven't gotten anywhere. Any ideas?

put a cut of cardboard between the contacts (like cut a playing card) and the shell
