Sims 4 to get new free update that adds terrain modifying

terrain-edi.jpg

The Sims 4, which released more than four years ago is still getting regular content updates, the latest of which has been delayed. Originally slated for release this month, the patch has been pushed back. To make up for that, the upcoming content within the next update will be free. These new additions include a new career path, as well as a feature that lets you edit terrain. Your Sims will now have the ability to be a Style Influencer, which means they can perform makeovers and judge other NPCs based on their looks. More notably, the ground sculpting will allow for players to raise and lower the ground to create hills or other visual changes to their land. More details about this update and future Sims 4 content will be discussed on October 11th, on Maxis's official Twitch account. As far as The Sims 4 goes, EA plans to support future DLC expansions for the game for the foreseeable future.

EA?! Grab your pitchforks  what are they doing this time?

I can't believe they have the gall to!..Oh, free update with actual content? /s

Happy to see the boogie man of game studios doing something cool like this. Anyone getting some Doshin the Giant vibes out of this?

This is a true miracle. Finally they are doing something that people want for free. May we enjoy this golden time before it ends (in the next 2 weeks or so)

I think this update makes absolutly no sense. The property where you can build are so small... why should you place a giant mountain on it?
In my opinion sims 4 is dead - it could be so much more and so much better. but it's only a cashcow

We live in a pretty shitty time when something like this is considered "news worthy." This should have been part of the main game to begin with and the fact that we need to emphasize that this is a free update is just unsettling. It shows just how shitty a state the AAA gaming scene has become.

those that played the previous 3 and thought this one would be good, because the past 3 were genuinely good
they were on the right track with sims 3 open world sims game was great they just needed to work on the loading times and make it better for the sims 4. but what did they do instead...make the sims 2.5 with all the good stuff stripped out of it...

How the hell is Sims still around? Who buys these games?
hehehe, if you saw my front-paged thread (that was couple of month ago) You'll see that I spent over 400$ over the years on The Sims 4^^

Man, I wish we could go to the good ol' days when EA didn't screw SimCity over and when the Sims was actually good...

SimCity™ for SNES represent

I have put so many hours into that rudimentary game, but boy is it fun to unleash Bowser on your 200k+ city
