So a bit of background info on what I'm talking about. AM2R (which is the fan made remake of Metroid 2) was built using GameMaker Studio. Up until recently, we didn't have an Android port so people had to take a port of another GameMaker Studio game (Undertale) and replace the data files to get AM2R working on Android devices. Basically the same concept as LayeredFS.
So fast forward to today, there's a Switch port of Undertale out, and someone has been able to use LayeredFS to replace Undertale with another game called Downwell (another project created with GameMaker Studio). The process was exactly the same. Just switch the data files (which share the same file names) and voila, everything works (except in handheld mode only). Which leads me to wonder if AM2R could work in the same way.
It will require someone to install the Undertale NSP, then use LayeredFS to "mod" the game with the AM2R files.
I'd more then gladly try it myself but I don't have Undertale or have LayeredFS working on my ReiNX CFW. Is anyone else here able to and willing to try this out?
