Unfortunately there’s no sign for gamecube but it could coming eventually according to some rumors in the past.

i don't doubt that they're bringing back older games, and as much as i'd love it if it did, this little snippet of text hardly "confirms" anything

the way i see it, it's just one step closer to being confirmed.

The surprise here is that is nothing but a placeholder, and even more of a surprise that we won't see such a thing due to the fucking stupidity that is the Online service with its lame NES library of 20 games.

The placeholder has been released in several consoles, one example being the 3DS like the guy a few posts above mentioned.
So yeah, nothing to see here guys, carry on.
If you want retro gaming on your Switch, don't even think about the Online service, go homebrew and RetroArch, fuck Nintendo's service.

Yes really, there's no proof that VC games will come any time soon due to Ninty's "online concept" for games. And even then I sincerely doubt they'll do GameCube games, just like Luigi's Mansion for the 3DS, they'll probably just remaster the one's they see fit, and nothing more than that I'm afraid.
