Hacking Question So, there is a way to hack without N banning you?

Hello, I'd say im pretty familiar with the Switch Scene, except this part.

My Question: If I enter RCM MODE, and Do a complete NAND backup.
Will this ^^^^^^^^^^^ be backtraceable?
Or is it like booting linux from a USB and accessing Windows from that?

If not, I could theoretically, hack what I want and do everything nasty I want, and when Smash Releases, use my crispy clean NAND backup and restore it to clean.

Does this work or not.

If your NAND is clean when you back it up then yeah it should be the safest way to use CFW

Nobody knows, but i think Ninty can't backtrack this because it is part of the console, and it loads before HOS. If you are worried about being banned you should not connect your console. But that implies an auto-ban so it's useless unless you want to try online functions later.

Because its impossible to know if it is completely safe. No one knows for sure what Nintendo can or can't detect. Whether they have things in place people don't yet know about,etc. So to be completely safe their are two options. Don't go online or don't do anything with the switch it wasn't designed to do by Nintendo.

Afaik, you can restore the NAND while booting something via RCM right?
And no I'm not banning myself. You guys probably don't understand the difference, I will use online If there is a use for it (literally only Smash), and as there is no use for it currently, I won't go online, but in the meantime I will have fun with the console.
Because this badboy will go one day online = no ban. lel.

call it auto ban or whatever you like, if you stay offline, NINTENDO will not ban you even if you call them and ask for it.

Dont do any hacking at all if you dont want to be banned. Pure and simple.

"Hacking" includes making a nand backup.

I understand you Kafluke, I thought people Reverse Engineered the Switch good enough to know If this can be detectable.
I wanna know the exact reason why it would be detectable or not. Do you maybe know why?

The run of hekate and backup from RCM are totally safe, I do this the first day that I buy the Switch and still ok without bans

Hekate only write files to SD Card, never touch the nand (only on restore), so isn't traceable if you only do a backup.

If you restore, just write the binaries to the nand, still not writing anything that don't are on your console before.

The *REAL* answer to is there a way to hack without getting banned is a simple no. Even with emunand, you could go online even once on accident, you risk getting banned. in reality if you want to hack your switch get a second one that you won't hack ever. Hacking in any way even with emunand and a clean nand backup is just work and you always have to be careful to never go online. So simply just don't hack, or get 2 switches.

Everyone else will say you can keep from getting banned but you'll eventually make a mistake and get banned.
