My New 3DS all of a sudden won't boot from my SD with Luma3DS and b9s installed.
The screen just stays black and i hear no sound, not even the typical sound when the screens turn on.
I tried booting it without the SD and it works. But if i put it back in i cant even go to luma chainloader or it's config.
I also tested the SD with h2testw but it didn't find any errors. What should I do now, help?

I don't understand how that could happen... i did literally do nothing to the files on the SD

So what should i do now? try to update my b9s via the 3ds guide site?

SD cards are great (if real) but still dont last forever. Maybe yours has just reached its end?
Well I can still read/write on it from my laptop without problems and a test for errors didn't give me any..

Check if your card's fake with H2testw in a Full Write + Verify Test when it's empty.

I also tested the SD with h2testw but it didn't find any errors.

Try booting with a different SD card with a test custom firmware setup. Look here for a quick build. If that doesn't work either, what model 3DS do you have?

You may be looking at a replacement SD reader.

Edit - If the temporary CFW with a new Nintendo 3DS folder works, try these on your main setup.

Umm I moved all my files to another SD Card and it works perfectly. Idk if it still has relevance but it's an New 3DS XL EUR.

Wow, I'm not on top of things today. Sorry, I didn't read or follow the previous posts.

Here's what you can try on your troublesome card.

Reformat the card with this first:
Reformat it again with this:
Check that card again with a test setup.

Edit - I would personally retire the card if it derped on you before. Take it as a good sign that it was warning you its time has come.

Files can get corrupted on an sd card without you doing anything. I'm guessing that's what happened here. Happened on my PSP recently.

Weird thing is after a format and reinstalling the files it's working fine again.

It's never a bad idea to keep all your files backed up on your PC in case something like this happens again. I even back up my saves.
