Hardware Is System update v6 live or is it safe to install exFAT as of today?

Hi all,
I've just got my Switch, it is currentl on v5.1, not yet hacked. I need the exFAT update, but I'm not sure if system update v6 is already live and I'd like to avoid it right now. If I insert an exFat-formatted microSD it tells me that I need to update, but I'm not sure about what it is going to install since there is no explicit version shown on the screen.

TL/DR: is it still safe to install the exFAT update online from 5.1, or I'm going to end up with v6 because it was already released?

preferably, you should be using https://gbatemp.net/threads/choiduj...ller-homebrew-for-the-nintendo-switch.513416/ to install the exfat update.
keep it away from the internet for the time being.
that said, if you just got a switch, it might already be one of the (currently) unhackable ones anyways. check for your consoles serial number https://gbatemp.net/threads/switch-informations-by-serial-number.481215/

About the console itself, I've got it used, 1y old, definitely safe (XAJ70023), but thanks for the hint anyway.
I tried checking for an undate without the microSD, and it proposes an update, so I'd say v6 is out now. I'll give a look at ChoiDujourNX, thanks!

From what I have read online and the update does not go live until 11:00PM Eastern here in the US, not sure about the rest of the world. So if you decide to hold off on hacking and want the ExFat you could update officially and likely stay on 5.1 you do it soon.

then update officially with the exfat update while you still can. then remove from online so you don't accidentally get the 6.0 update

Webchat or call nintendo tell them your switch is no longer working and you wanna unlink account so you can use it on new switch.. do it now before its too late

serial.. last 3 games downloaded or payed for. date of birth and i think they asked me for my name thats it ..
call or webchat them... as the guide above method wont work as your banned i dont think

i dont think you can unlink your account from banned unit. Someone did email nintendo the same scenario with you but to no avail

Then call or use webchat to contact nintendo customer services
tell them you wish to unlink your account from your console as your console no longer works and that you wish to connect it to a new console you have bought...

They will ask you for the serial of old console in your case banned one...
3 games from your downloads or purchases whether its demos payed for or free games..
your date of birth. and your name. then they will say thanks for that and unlink it its like a 2 min process . i suggest you do that now because very soon you wont be able to unlink like today tomorrow

when 6.0 drops in about later today is when that will no longer be possible so do what Canna said like pronto
