I'm going to get a few new physical switch games, and I want to know which ones are "the best". I have Mario Odyssey and Breath of the wild, and I am looking Mario kart 8 and dead cells. What other (mostly single player) games should I look into?

Also, is Octopath really that great of a game?

I personally think Octopath is quite boring. It's not as epic as it turn out to be. Xenoblade 2 is like 10x better.

(My opinion) Octopath is beautiful and fantastic but boring and slow. Do not get it. A demo should still be available. Mario kart 8 deluxe is alright.. not the best unless you have 3 other people you can play local multiplayer with. Online sucks. Infinite amounts of red shell will ruin your experience. Dead cell is good. Frustrating but good. Buy it. It's that good. Xenoblade 2 is awful. Don't get it

Someone cannot understand complicated battle system.

Have you considered that if somebody fails to understand it, it could be the fault of the game? I mean I don't know whether you're talking about Octopath or Xeno 2, but I reviewed and loved both. Other people I talk to have disliked one or the other, that's fine. Shrugging off others' opinions as "not understanding the game" irritates the heck out of me.

if you like retro style platform action games then you must get: Axiom verge, Bloodstained: Curse of moon

And u can'r consider urself a switch owner if youn don't have Xenoblade Chronicle 2

Octopath leans more on to old school classic rpg players, so its not casual friendly. Xeno2 is everything that Octo isn't and most oldschool rpg players dislike the gameplay style

OP stated "physical" games. Inside, as far as I know, does not have a physical release on Switch. Not to mention it's only a 3-4 hr game.

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle if you want something that will give you your money's worth at 20+ hrs for just the main story alone. 40-50 hrs with the DK DLC and extras.

If you like Side scrollers with a tiny element of puzzle, Shantae: Half-Genie Hero is a great one, and will probably end up being rare at some point n the future

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is an awesome huge game - but! and I personally understood the whole fight system only after like 10 hours gameplay. In the beginning you are thinking maaan that is really slow and why I am making so less damage. But after you understood the mechanics. Awesome Combo Mode.
And I personally LOVE this story. My favourite RPG on the switch.

Played Octopath for ca. 25h and I don't like it. I wished it was more "deeper". But it's more like "hey here you have 8 storys in one game".

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is a great game. I had a lot of fun with it.
Also Minecraft on the Switch is really a good timekiller, if you're not already fatigued by it.
