Hacking Is there a way to decrypt NoNpdrm dumps and convert them into Maidumps?

As the question states: Is there a way to decrypt/extract a NoNpdrm and then patch the eboot to make it installable via maidump? Or is it technically impossible? (Reason: I want to keep my PSTV on a very old Henkaku that doesn't support NoNpdrm)

I know, I could just update my PSTV, I really want to know if the above is possible.

ammm.... have you tried VitaShell's "open decrypted"?
Hmmm... I haven't updated my Vita Shell in almost two years. I'm a bit anxious to do that since I'm on a very ancient Henkaku (think it's from October 2016) and I fear compatibility issues making Vita Shell unusable. Also I want to edit the game's param.sfo on my PC to make the dump playable on my 3.60 PSTV if the game's FW is 3.61+.

Edit: Also wouldn't it be necessary to edit the eboot to make it installable via maidump?

Man it would be much easier to just update your 3.60 HEnkaku (just using online exploit for HENkaku R11 and install enso 3.60 v1.1 eventually) and to update VitaShell. For 3.60+ games, there is rePatch reDux0 plugin. Mai is very old and corrupted format, there is really no reason to not use NoNpDrm content. Plus using rePatch reDux0 you can still use Mai DLCs on NoNpDrm content (cause concerning some games there was a way more DLCs on Mai content).

EDIT: Only way I see to convert NoNpDrm games to MaiDump is to dump NoNpDrm installed games using MaiDumpTool (on 3.60 firmware) but if you can't install NoNpDrm content, you can't dump it using Mai. So I just d'ont know if you could do it another way. And like I said I really see no interest.

If you use HENkaku offline exploit, just uninstall it, run online Henkaku exploit, HEnkaku will be updated, you'll have the "latest" MolecularShell, from here just uninstall VitaShell and install the latest one (eventually install enso) and it's done. Well I suppose you didn't install enso before (v1.0), if it's the case uninstall it before and install v1.1.

This has been repeated to you several times. NoNpDrm is supported on every version of Henkaku. Stop spewing misinformation.

I have a vita (FW 3.60) on the most current Henkaku, so on that Vita I would be able to install NoNpDrm dumps, but to my knowledge only up to 3.60 FW. But I want to decrypt a NoNpDrm game, edit the param.sfo and make it playable on my 3.60 PSTV via maidump. I successfully did this with maidumps 3.61+.

Even on henkaku versions that were released when NoNpDrm didn't exist yet?

Fact that you can't refresh LiveArea is cause why you can't have NoNpDrm games, this option is just linked to VitaShell, it will just cost you to update VitaShell...

So would I be able to install the game on my 3.60 Vita and then maidump it for my ancient henkaku PSTV even if it's 3.61+? I think I'm going to try that.

Use PKGJ to install a NoNPDRM game, open maidump, decrypt the game.
PKGJ performs the steps necessary to make the game decryptable already.
All you need to decrypt a game (as long as you're on the proper firmware to do so) is to install it.

I succeeded in actually maidumping a NoNpdrm dump (with rePatch and the correct compatibility files). The Maidump runs on my Vita with FW spoofing enabled, haven't tried to edit the param.sfo to be running on my old Henkaku PSTV without FW spoofing yet but as I did it with a Maidump of that particular game few months ago I'd say I've been successfull. Thanks @Kleyon for the tip using repatch.

A question: As I've never maidumped a game... During the dumping process the game started multiple times and I had to close it and get to maidump tool again. Is that normal? Am I supposed to close the game? Also it seems there has been an error (something like the original Eboot could not be found) shown in Maidump.

OK it seems not to run without rePatch and the compatibility files even as a maidump. Now the question is: Are these compatibility files encrypted or decrypted? Wouldn't it just work to replace the in the maidump folder before the installation or do I need to decrypt them before?

Wtf man, update your vita

Whitelist hack is what you need for ps tv, not a corrupted dump

You can t paste comp packs, also they ONLY work with clean encrypted games AND repach 2.71

Mai dump is dead!

I don't know why you are so agitated. Don't take it so personal. Either way I'll keep trying I guess until I loose my patience. XD

Edit: I know this has no practical application for anyone anymore since everybody is using NoNpDrm, but I've actually successfully converted a NoNpDrm dump into a Maidump (so far tested it with 2 NoNpdRm games) installable and playable without rePatch (or any other plugin, just the naked Henkaku). Maidump dumped the 3.67 games even though I'm on 3.60 just fine (repatch + compatibility files aren't even necessary for dumping it), but after installing the Maidump it produced an error. The trick was to copy the compatibility files into the game's app folder after the installation of the Maidump.

Even though what I did is of no interest for anybody else than me I think at least it's a nice proof of concept.

I told you about rePatch reDux0 to use it with NoNpDrm dumps (have to say RIPs it seems... non-sense) and not MaiDump (to play 3.60+ NoNpDrm games for example). Anyway if I remember correctly, you don't have to close game when dumping it using Mai, just go back to MaiDumpTool and keep game running (PS button and back to MaiDumpTool).

Your "proof of concept" is already known, that's why I told you, you can dump NoNpDrm content using Mai, it is used on modding community to prepare files for NoNpDrm content (when some Mai files are missing to port Mai mods to NoNpDrm). Except this it is considered outdated and useless (except for rare titles not existing on NoNpDrm and some DLCs, but DLCs can be used on NoNpDrm using rePatch reDux0 as I already said).

It also seems that my method is not completely perfect. It seems that games with compatibility packs that have a media folder don't work as a maidump. Perhaps the compatibility files need to be inserted before the dumping? Are the compatibility packs encrypted or decrypted?
