Other homebrew devs are doing it for the community and advancing the scene. TX is doing it for money.

They do it because someone else can add and contribute or in case the original dev calls it quits, they can take it over.

Look at the 3ds homebrew launcher for a good example of this. The original was made by smealum, it was later forked and updated by fincs, which was possible due to being under a license that permitted doing this.

I didn't know it worked with XCI files, which is 80% of the games I have , so for me it's not the complete package. repsect to Reisyukaku thou

It works with xcis converted to nsps.

thanks but if i remeber correctly not all games work, and i dont want to start converting games when I can just copy and paste an XCI file to a sd card and just as easily delete it without having to install a NSP or uninstall one\ delete the directory it's installed in.

like i said it's more user friendly.

The thread is supposed to be about about the sx update which adds 6 support, I wanted to hear off the people who are actually on 6 and have tried it. I would never ask anyone to update to something they are not ready for so if you are not on 6 already then just report back how it works for you when you do go there. This or the last post is not a flame post so please don't take it in that way if you have.

I wouldn't ever run a community made payload in a $300 console without being able to to check if it it completely safe.
Just imagine, i could make a CFW with a random brick code and post it there...

Edit: It happened a few weeks ago. Someone published a "cracked SX OS" that bricked every cobsole that ran it.

WTF? That's untrue. I'm using 6.0.0 and have been using it since day one (as I host 90DNS and wanted to test the extent of new telemetry). Most pics out there are by me, half the info is by me.

Patched Hekate (by sciresm) + Atmosphere (loader+sm) works fine, ReiNX dev builds that I'm testing directly with team work fine and SXOS also boots fine (but crashes on webapplets, same as atmosphere, though that was fixed today).

I'm on 6.0.0 with exfat.

I dislike SXOS, but this is the truth. Don't believe fake information.

Cheers mate. That was one of the 2 I read who was on 6. Most of the other people in the thread seem to be making assumptions without actually testing it. I just wanted to know how well it worked for the majority but I guess I will have to wait for more people to try it. Thanks for the reply tho.

TX is getting it done fast and easy to use. Free is great and all, but not if it's a hassle, even a minor one.
