1) This is nothing to do with (Exfat + homebrew) corruption, this is a completely unrelated issue that can happen whether your sd card is exfat or fat32. It won't cause corruption of anything else besides the game you installed using SX OS's installer.
2) This is not TX hating, I'm still contentedly using SX OS and I'll use the free shit too. Also if you start pro/anti-TX or TX vs. others bickering in this thread then I'll take it as a sign that your genitals are embarrassingly underwhelming.

So someone pointed this out on Discord, I haven't seen it mentioned here not that I've read every post in every thread. Most of my NSPs I've installed using Devmenu, but I installed a few with SX OS's installer, to try it out when it was new, and when a filename turned out to be too long for Devmenu and I was feeling lazy. I don't know how many games I installed with it altogether, but when I checked, three of them were corrupt. This explained an issue I had with Flashback freezing at a particular point until I reinstalled it.

The guy who pointed it out on discord had found dozens of his installed games were corrupted, sucks to be him I guess, and he said a number of other people had reported the issue. Don't know what the problem is with TX's installer but maybe they'll fix it in an update, until then obviously just use Devmenu or Tinfoil.

To check your installed games for corruption, go to System Settings -> Data Management -> Software -> (game) -> Check for Corrupt Data.
If it finds anything corrupt it will give you the option to redownload, obviously don't do that - press X or whatever to cancel, then either Delete or Archive Software, then reinstall the NSP using Devmenu or Tinfoil.

I've installed all my nsp with sxos, which in turn all were nuked somehow after ftpd crashed during a file transfer. I've since reinstalled everything again "with sxos" and not one was "corrupted".

EDIT: inb4 the "well how do you know troll troll troll" I started testing everything after becoming paranoid due to the ftpd fiasco.

UPDATE: I've retested some and every single thing is corrupted. I also tried with stealth mode disabled and same thing.

Installing the same games with tinfoil worked, they all passed integrity check.

There is no objective reason to be using Tinfoil over Rommenu in the first place, but its nice to have confirmation of one of its cons.
rommenu was the first capable of installing updates and dlc, I see no reason switching over to tinfoil if using sxos, it's built right in.

UPDATE: I guess there is a reason after all.

While TX stole implemented a title installer that could install NSP files that Tinfoil couldn't support at the time, Tinfoil has now not only been able to do everything Rommenu can but it also has other features such as network installation, despite how slow it is.

I've retested some and every single thing so far is corrupted.

I'm wondering if it's because I used sxftp a few times. ffs.

And this is why I like prefer XCI.

Just checked the NSPs I installed with SX OS installer, and every single one is shown as corrupt. That is quite interesting, since I haven't experienced a single error with those games so far.

Yup all my games ran and I know they weren't corrupt after installation. It must be something after the fact. I'm going to reinstall right now and test it.

Oh well I will still use my corrupted games, they run fine. No crashing. I am too lazy to reinstall everything. Maybe one day...

Yep, corrupted, even though it works just fine.

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I still think it's a false positive situation somehow.

Yeah all of the nsp games I have are also corrupted as well but like in tpax case I didn't experience any issues with the these games and some I've already completed without any freeze or crash.

When you check for Corrupt Data, it will corrupt the data if you installed it using sx os installer, but why even check if the game running well?
