I have Luma3DS installed and godmode9. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of what CFW can really do. I have already backed up all my cartridges to CIA and installed a CIA that allows the old R4 cart to work, is anything else significant possible?

I use mine more on the secure client-side or something like that

I keep backups of my SysNAND, my games, etc.

And since I didn’t inject luma and gm9 into ctrnand, it would be useless to wannabe thieves because I take out the SD card and store it somewhere else on my person. In case if I lose it, I keep backups of my SD card on my computer. While yes, people can get around this fairly easy, it does make it a bit more tedious for them since they have to figure out wtf is going on because to them at first glance they’d think that it’s broken and won’t have any resale value unless if they know what they are doing.

I have the all time famous incognito mode scripts in gm9 if I ever needed them, but I use Rosalina menu for all of my homebrew app needs.

I did pirate one game and only one, but that was only so my sister can demo it and after she got finished playing, I deleted it, including the cia file and save file. Now she wants to buy the game that I pirated and a 3ds. She has an old DS lite that has lcds wearing out on it with a bunch of dead pixels.

I also have a pretty nice custom vaporwave theme and another thing I do is use the no outlines cheat on ultra sun. Massive worth imo

Rom hacks are probably worth looking into, and modifying save files can be fun.
Custom themes can be fun but I rarely use them.
One thing you could try is using the 3DS as a PC controller, if you don't have an actual controller (like me).
There are some pretty good homebrew games to play too, some that are classic like Minesweeper and others that are more original like Eucliod.

If you have lots of patience and like crashing your system frequently, you can try writing homebrew games or tools yourself.

- modifying save files (there was on "work in progress" for Animal Crossing New Leaf, and there are a few that work well for Pokemon)
- 3DS as a PC controller (I use it on some emulated games, as well as some other stuff)
- playing rom hacks/whatever
