Hi everyone,

So, me thinking I am clever, I decided to use to Choixdujour to downgrade my Switch back to its original firmware and I now have an error message right after the switch logo appears saying: Èerror code: 2002-4315 an error has occured. Please press the Power button to restart..." Any ideas on how I can get myself out of this pickle???

some background info:
-My switch was originally on fw 3.0.0 (no exfat).
-extracted firmware 5.0.2 from an xci cartridge. installed it using choixdujour.nx choose 5.0.2 (exfat) and autoRCM to avoid burning fuses.
-Worked for a week. Always used Rajnx payload and booted cfw with noGCupdate option
-today, I decided to extract firmware 3.0.0 from pokken xci. used choixdujour to downgrade to 3.0.0 with exfat support.
-deactivated autorcm since there is no need for it anymore
-everything installed and I now see the the above error message =( I can inject a payload but when i start stock firmware or cfw i get the same message as above. I can't access Horizon at all.

Any help would be so much appreciated. I have a backup nand just in case but I would much prefer to get things running without having to reinstall all my games again as well as lose all my saves. I would love to just go back to 5.0.2 with exfat support and rcm and no touch anything again.

This is what you get for playing with fire... i guess

Check using hekate. Check the number of fuses. It should be 3. I would probably consider reverting to a nand dump if I were you. I will probably end up doing what you planned on doing once a coldboot/warmboot workaround is made.

ok. I used hekate's print fuses option and it says there are 3 burnt fuses... so that would mean 3.0.0 right... does this mean i can restore my nand no prob? I backed it up at 3.0.0

But I'm pretty sure even if you stayed on 3.0.0 you wouldn't be able to downgrade.
you are wrong sir, you can downgrade with choirdujour same way you can upgrade ..

As for you @udo4ever
If you had a 3.0 stock backup and
If you went from 3.0 stock and upgraded via choidujour to 5.0 with loading hekate every boot
Then you should not of burnt fuses...
In that case seen as no fuses are burnt if you always used hekate to boot into 5.0
then just restore your 3.0 backup... rawnand.bin boot1/boot 0

edit
3 burnt fuses, just restore your orig nand.
see here if you need help > click

also whilst you still have access to the console please make sure you have dumped your biskeys also do this first if you have not

Based on what the devs have stated, you should, revert back to your previous nand backup then do the exfat patch.

Hi Canna... I was just looking at your guide. It is really really really helpful. I used it to back up my nand. I was checking out the restoring nand section and it seems straight forward. I checked my fuses and there are 3 burnt... so I'm good.

However, the downside would be losing so much saves and all those installed games!!!! If this is what is in store for when atmosphere releases then I have a feeling that a lot of people who planned to downgrade once it releases are in for a surprise. They will lose pretty much everything and have to start over. Ideally, we could find a work around for this and restoring nand should be the last resort. Anyone else has any ideas before I try a nand restore?

Then use memloader payload and application hackdiskmount
Connect to switch via physical drive, and dump the partitions..
When you dumped the user partition, you can restore the user partition to 3.0 i think..

You have your biskeys right ?

Did you use choirdujour on pc
or switch choirdujournx?

wow, this sounds really technical. I have no idea how to "connect to switch via physical drive" or how to use hackdiskmount... looks like nand restore is my best option due to my limitations *gulp* ;)

edit:

I followed your guide to the letter so I assume I do have my Bskeys (not sure what they are for though)

I used choixdujournx... (so on switch)... I was actually confused by this. Your comment thus confirms that there is a PC version of this too. I gather you can simply send the firmware and install it via usbc? this could be interesting. I have the 5.0.2 firware update on pc so if this is indeed what choixdujour can do then I might get my switch back as it was before the downgrade. Any guides on how to use choixdujour (pc version)? I do have my biskeys (i followed your guide) but I don't know what they are for...

If you restore your NAND, you also have to restore your BOOT0 and BOOT1 partitions or the console will not boot.
To my knowledge, Hekate restore does not do this, so you must do it with hacdiskmount and dd or another command.

I'm pretty sure you can't keep your updated user partition when you downgrade. You either restore your full NAND backup or initialize your system. You could have exported all of your saves with CheckPoint and then re-imported them back on 3.0.0, but you'd have to reinstall games and updates and such.
