That doesn't make any sense. My reasons to not trust him is based on evidence of his actions, evidence that can be easily found just by going through his forums and even through his posts on this site. If Nintendo doesn't release it, then his claims will be false again. If they do release it and it follows his speculation, then he's actually got some crediblity. Regardless that doesn't mean anything about his past actions.

No no, no not what i mean and i apologize for the confusion. While technically it IS a software patch, it's done at the factory for new systems and not something they just roll out for pre existing systems

Yes it's software, but like boot1 on the wii & metldr on the ps3 they can't change that part of the software (and neither can we) as a hash is stored in one time programmable memory. To change it you would need to be able to find a hash collision, but it's very unlikely that you'd find one that resulted in valid code.

libnx = homebrew, not game (nowhere you see game and libnx in the same sentence)

According to my uncle who works at Nintendo, 6.0.0 will be a massive update that adds new features and security improvements such as

1. As a new anti-piracy check the switch will automatically connect to all devices nearby and search for files with XCI, NSP, and NCA file extensions, and if it detects any it'll automatically wipe all the drives of that device (it also checks itself, but when checking itself NCA files are excluded for obvious reasons)
2. Also as an anti-piracy measure Nintendo will be making Freeshop a official application and will be included on all Switches.
3. A button in the settings to automatically unbans your system
4. A brick button that automatically bricks you system by wiping all the partitions on the nand
5. A tool that automatically converts EXE files to NSP files so that you can play them on your Switch, there will also a tool to convert NSP files to EXE files
6. A custom firmware installer, to choose the CFW simply put the CFW on the root of your SD card and call it "notmalware.exe"
7. A new shop called "money shop" when you download games from this Nintendo will give you money instead of taking money
8. A hardware downloaded tool, this tool allows you to download new hardware (such as new ram, gpu, and cpu) by default it'll download the new hardware from "Minecraft.net" but can be changed
9. A overclocking tool will be added in the new update, the maximum speed for everything will be about 10Ghz
10. An application that allows you to teleport anywhere so that you can truly play your Switch anywhere

Using ChoiDujourNX, you can manually update to any firmware you want, regardless of the latest firmware at the time.

You can update whenever you want, either by using a game cart that has it included or via ChoiDuJourNX. If you ever want to downgrade, though, choose option 2 and do your homework.
