So, I got my New 2DS a week ago or so. I installed CFW using the Seedminer method following the 3ds.hacks.guide guide, of course, and it's been working perfectly until yesterday.

I pulled out the SD Card to paste in a couple games (didn't touch anything else, I only pasted the games inside my cias folder, where I put all the cias), and when I reinsterted the SD back to the console and turned it on, all my games and CFW stuff was gone.

Some information:
- I can still access the Rosalina Menu, the GodMode9 menu, etc. It's still hacked, basically.
- I've checked my SD Card for errors using the H2Testw app, and it didn't find any errors.
- If I go to System Settings -> Data Management -> Nintendo 3DS -> Software, I get an error saying "The microSD card software management information is corrupted. Reset it now? This will delete all software and save data."
- If I try to install any CIA file, I get this error:
Failed to install CIA file.
Result code: 0xD9004587
Level: Permanent (27)
Summary: Wrong argument (8)
Module: FS (17)
Desc: Hash verification failure (391)

It happens with any CIA file, whether it was installed before this happened, or not

- I can still play things like mGBA through the Homebrew Launcher
- I asked in the Noob Paradise thread, and I was answered to do a CTRTransfer. So I did, I went back to 11.5, then back to 11.8, and it didn't solve anything either

I'm pretty much at a lost here.

EDIT TO ADD THE FINAL SOLUTION PROVIDED BY zacchi4k:
Rename the "Nintendo 3DS" folder in the SD to "Nintendo 3DS backup", wait for it to recreate the needed data on the SD, then try again

Do the same things happen with another SD card? Maybe it's hardware damage for either the card or the pins of your console.

Try this:
  • Copy ALL the data in the SD card to a folder on your PC
  • Format your SD card using Guiformat
  • Check your SD card using h2testw
  • If it passes, delete the test files from the SD, copy everything back to the SD and check if the issue has been solved

Do the same things happen with another SD card? Maybe it's hardware damage for either the card or the pins of your console.

So, I formatted the SD Card, passed the test, and it found no errors. Reinserted everything, and it didn't work.
Trying with a completely different card doesn't change anything, either

Mind you, I can access everything in the SD Card with the console, for instance, with FBI. I can see all the folders and stuff, so I don't think it's hardware damage.

Also, btw, I can't access the "Titles" section of FBI. I get the same error as I originally posted, but instead of "Failed to install CIA file.", I get "Failed to populate title list."
As additional information, I found I have some tickets in red in the "Tickets" section of FBI, of course. The tickets in red are:
000400000016A600
00040001001B9501
0004000E00022800
000480044B344456

I had some more, but I deleted the ones that I looked up and corresponded to some games I had, to see if it solved anything. Of course, it didn't.

So in 0:/Nintendo 3DS/<ID0>/<ID1>/dbs and rename title.db to title.bak.db, then try installing something from FBI

Aand... nothing. Same error. I found that trying to install something creates the ticket of the game/app in red in the "Tickets" section, just like I said in the original post.

So I should clear the Shared icon cache and the HOME Menu icon cache only or is there something else I'm missing?

EVERYTHING.

Don't worry, your 3DS will rebuild the cache from scratch.

If your games are still intact with their installed tickets, they should repopulate on the HOME Menu.

No no, I mean if there's anything else other than the "Shared icon" cache and the "HOME Menu icon" cache. I don't see anything else related to cache in the Cthulhu menu

Activity Log: Clear play, step, and sofware histories.
Shared icon cache: blah
HOME Menu cache; more blah

The other options you leave out.

It didn't work.

Do you think that un-hacking the 2DS following this guide and re-hacking it would solve it? I don't mind losing the saves or stuff like that, so if that's an option, I'll take it.

No, that would probably make it worse. If an aeroplane starts smoking mid-flight, the way to fix it isn't to remove the engine and wings.

  1. Make a copy of your current Nintendo 3DS folder and put it somewhere safe on your computer.
  2. Either resort to Restore SysNAND (Safe) if you ever backed up your NAND -or- CTRTransfer if you never made that NAND image.
  3. Make sure you're using the latest Luma3DS v9.1, boot9strap v1.3, and GodMode9 v1.7.1 by doing these two:
4. Reinstall all your *.cia games using FBI (because freeShop and CIAngel are dead).
5. If you ever made back ups of your saves with Checkpoint or JKSM, restore them.
6. If you never made those back ups, refer to this thread about using Duplicate Cleaner Pro in manually restoring those saves (may not work).

I restored the SysNAND backup I made when I first hacked the console, like a week or so ago, and it didn't solve the problem. Also, when I entered the eShop by mistake, it popped a message in the screen saying something like "The sector of the SD Card dedicated to saving programs is corrupted" and prompts me to going to Data Management and restoring the software and save data.

Is there any way to manually uninstall everything from the SD Card so I can reinstall all the games and stuff? I think that's the issue, something in the storage of software is corrupted. Maybe a single file is causing it.

But if everything I've tried so far hasn't worked and it seems like it's a problem with the installed stuff, wouldn't it be better to re-install everything from the very beginning? Just asking
