Twitch to marathon every episode of the Pokemon anime

IMG_0620.JPG

Those that watch the streaming service, Twitch, are likely familiar with certain marathons of shows that Twitch tends to run, such as Bob Ross or Doctor Who. Now, the latest addition to that lineup will be the entirety of the Pokemon anime series. All 932 episodes will be consecutively streamed, spanning the 19 season history of the nostalgic Pokemon cartoon. 16 of the series' movies will also be shown, as well. With nearly a thousand episodes to get though, this marks the longest Twitch marathon event so far. A mini-game will also be featured, through the use of the Twitch Presents: Pokemon Badge Collector extension, which will allow viewers to "catch" Pokemon onscreen at certain times, to earn points. Twitch Presents Pokemon will begin on August 27, at 10 am PT, and will air Mondays through Thursdays on the twitchpresents channel. Pokemon movies will also be streamed on the same channel, at the same time, on Sundays. Alternate channel twitchpresents2 will show re-runs of that week's episodes, on Fridays and Saturdays.

Intense!
But weird, it's the thought and gesture more than anything.
It's just Monday to Thursday? All the time or just a few hours.
When will it be completed?

I wonder how much the licensing cost to do this.

Interesting. If they're going for every episode, I wonder if they're going to stream "Electric Soldier Porygon" with the flashing effects severely toned down.
They'll probably just skip all the banned episodes because it's just less hassle. The real question is whether there will be an ad every 3 minutes like the Yu-Gi-Oh marathon.
