Fushigi no Gensokyo TOD Reloaded, also known as Touhou Genso Wanderer Reloaded was released in Japan for PS4 and Vita in December 22, 2016. When the game was localised, only the PS4 version and the new Switch version was brought over, sadly. Here I present a patch to turn the Japanese Vita version into English. The menu screen and some UI elements are still in Japanese, but most text should be in English. There are no text wrapper either. Make sure you have rePatch installed and that it works correctly. The patch has not been fully tested and I take no responsibility if your Vita crashes, fries or explodes.

Xdelta patch can be downloaded here.

1. You will need the base game, PCSG00985 which you can get on the Japanese Playstation Store. This patch will NOT WORK with the PCSG00642 version of the game. Download the latest patch supported (v1.29) and eventually, all your DLCs.

2. Use Vitashell to highlight ux0:/patch/PCSG00985/ and press triangle and press 'open decrypted'.

3. Browse to ux0:/patch/PCSG00985/1_29/data/default and copy text.cat to another folder, for example: ux0:/data/.

4. Use your favorite xdelta3 patcher to patch text.cat with the provided xdelta file.

5. Transfer the patched text.cat to ux0:/rePatch/PCSG00985/1_29/data/default/

6. Enjoy and please support the developers of this game by purchasing the game for your other consoles when available (PS4, Switch) or one of the Japanese versions.

I did everything right and still can't patch it, it gives me error.
Make sure you have the correct decrypted patch and the correct version of the game. The SHA-1 hash for the decrypted text.cat must be d0163e7209d1ed5bbdc3517caaef68e728d865cc.

If you have problems with xdelta, try using the CLI: https://github.com/jmacd/xdelta

xdelta3 -d -s text.cat text.xdelta text.cat.patched

Aw man I can't patch it yet. I have been patching stuff since 2009 and I have no idea why I can't patch this thing. Would it be possible for you to pm me or mail me the patched file? Here: [email protected]
It's fine if you also can't. Thanks for the effort.

download an updater xdelta 3.0.11 and then change it xdelta.exe so that xdelta gui can read it.

1. NPS Browser - not to download a free game, just to check the title id
2. VitaGameUpdateChecker - to download the 1.29, 1.40 gig update
3. (Vitashell to decrypt file, "paste to ux0") Forgot this part

Wow thanks, I plan to play the games in order, beginning with the one for the usa vita................... sounds like "Ragnarok Odyssey and Ragnarok Act", and Toukiden and Toukiden 2 ...................... they are not remakes, they have different story elements and content, so they are sequals, authors even claim that......................"Stranger of Sword City Revisited", now that game is not a sequal, its just a remake with more content.

(the reviews sound like sequal ............... just a guess ................... I'd actually have to get a few hours in game though, its because the game, is a dungeon crawler, i.e., there is not much story to it anyway, that like toukiden and ragnarok (monster hunter), its classified as a sequal with little additions, guess that is it?)

(noW i, remember. "Akiba's Beat", had some similar graphics like "the lost child", but it got a bad reviews that weren't shared by the fans, probably because of the product life, since, the prequel, "Akiba's Trip" was published much earlier in the console's lifespan ................. thats the sad state of the marketing money craze .............. I would look to that and say, boy have they gone wrong, thank god, for the retropie, boy those people would be very foolish trying to discredit games with no market value, trying to hammer that into the minds of consumers)
