So today i was transferring some files using ftp and it suddenly black screened, i was watching yt on my phone at the time so i don't know why it black screened. I ended up just taking out my sd card while on the black screen and transferring them that way. I then put my sd card back into my switch then restarted. I have AutoRCM on so it automatically boots into rcm mode, and it does. I then try to load the payload and I can get into hetake, but when i select load custom firmware it flashes white for a second, then it just goes to a screen where the leds are on but just showing gray/black. It also has the battery charging sign in the top left corner. Any advice on the subject would be much appreciated.

It sounds like your SD card got corrupted. I've seen other threads where people stated the ftp corrupted their cards.

If you have another sd card, just throw it in there quickly as a test with a clean format. Then you'll know you have to format your normal sd card and start over! sorry buddy.

Did any error appear on the black screen? And were you using FTPD or the Sysmodule version of FTP?
I was using FTPD

FTPD is known for being a wee bit...unstable so errors are common. But if it is a SD card issue, you'd need to format it BUT not with the normal windows formatting tools. Use something like SD Card Formatter or Rufus

Just format. Quick format should be fine, just reload the files on there. If it works then it might be worth it to do a slow format on the card (uncheck quick format when formatting).

or run chkdsk on the card before you format. Assuming windows, open up a command prompt and type chkdsk /x /f /r d:

replace the d: with whatever letter your sd card is.

If it finds corruption it will state so, (fixed bad blocks/sectors/corrupt etc). If that doesn't work then format and put the files back on. If that doesn't work redownload the files from a diff source (preferrably github) and load them on sd.
