By the way, earlier today, we had the lowest patched XAW1 : a XAW100809, I thought it cannot be a patched one but I was wrong, sorry for that.
So we don't know why they switched from 1007 to 1008, is it just because they got the XAW100799...99 Serial number ?

sooooo, i guess no emulators for me, seeing as i updated immediately for sonic mania plus...

also worthy to note: i reserved this item for in store pickup a day or two before. so technically it was purchased on the 13th/14th. and from what i understand; they put your order aside when you do that, meaning the console was in the store at the time of purchase.

I think its referring to a new exploit for RCM not a new method of entering RCM. RCM itself is not what is being patched out in the new units; its the USB smash stack exploit that is being fixed.

TegraRCMSmash won't work for ipatched units. Its not dependent on the firmware of the console but the bootrom which we can only determine for now through the serial number and even then its a guess for certain consoles.

After seeing a few people with patched 100809s and nobody with <100809 being patched (including an 08 and 07), it's safe to say that is a reasonable cutoff, right? Maybe that could be added to the OP... ?
