Earlier this month, Atlus released a new entry into their Etrian Odyssey series in Japan. Now, Atlus USA has announced that they'll be bringing the game to North America and Europe early next year, on February 5, 2019 for the Nintendo 3DS. Originally titled Etrian Odyssey X, the localized version will be renamed to Etrian Odyssey: Nexus.

Good name change but do we consider this a spinoff or EO6? Surprised they're still making new Etrian Odyssey for 3DS. If they're gonna do this, why not make Untold 3?

nope, warioware gold and the etrian odyssey games wont come to the switch, it would be more than a simple port job since such games are built around the 2 screen form factor, infact, the ED devs said that after X (nexus as its gonna be called here) is the last game in the series until they figure out a way of making it work on other platforms

I am a little burned out on this series... IV was a blast, but EOU 1 and 2 left me tired enough not to find the will to play V, as there is always "a lot of the same problems and qualities" thing. Hopefully I will pick up the disposition to play this, because evidently it is still more of the same.

Japanese name for Etrian Odyssey is "Sekaiju no Meikyuu". SQ is short.

Well, I actually meant the next games in the Etrian series, but if they really want to port the old ones over, they can put the screens side by side.

this is my favorite ds/3ds series. I never got very far in part 4 though. after gateway corrupted my save, I lost interest.

Spinoff due to mostly being a rehash of I-IV. Its something like a Sonic Mania.

Given the heavy 3DS asset reuse I don't know why people are talking ports or grumbling about it being 3DS. The game likely had a lower budget than past entries due to lack of original anything, just a cheap last hurrah that sold way better than expected. Supposedly the western version will not even get a dub on the voice lines.

Fucking A awesome! Kinda weird that they're going straight from 5 to 10 and skipping potentials 6 through 9, but whatever, I get more Etrian Odyssey and my bedwetting will go down to only one gallon tonight.
