me again, i have one more question. I created a forwarder of a Japanese game (twilight syndrome kinjirareta toshi densetsu), and i got this from it. When i launch it brings me to a generic error screen (from nintendo) and i have to reboot the console. How would i go about deleting this if i cant find the title ID in fbi?
This happens when the file names are too long, just shorten the ROM name and remake the forwarder and it should work. Also, for the love of god, just delete games and apps normally from system settings, no reason to use FBI for it... NDS forwarders are under DSiWare in the data management and they are listed from newest installed to older, much simpler than going by random IDs.:P

Thanks for the tip, will do so now. Also i had no idea it was in dsiware, i just assumed it went where everything else did

The recommended flashcards are DSTT and Acekard 2i (and R4 Ultra too, since that's an ak2i clone).

I had an old flash cart when I had my DS. According to my email I bought it in 2011, from r4ds-ds.com. Receipt in my email says it's R4 Ultra SDHC R4 Revolution For DS DSL (r4ultra.com)

Is that the one mentioned in OP? If not, is there any advantage of R4i Gold 3DS Plus over DSTT? I'm already on CFW so I don't need NTR boot, and the R4i is twice the price.

i have the latest java installed but it won't open the file at all. any idea on how to get it to open? i am on windows
What happens exactly when you try to open the .jar file? Has the icon changed to at least the java icon? Check the properties in case you need to "unblock" it (can happen sometimes on some computers) and also make sure the anti-virus isn't keeping it from opening because some are dumb like that (eg: Panda).

Did you make sure it's not "blocked" in the file properties? If so, the anti-virus thing is for cases where you have either excluded the directory from search or have it quarantined, so if neither, just ignore that part. Try to open it from right click and "Open" instead, just in case:P

What Windows are you using? I can't think of why it's not opening besides you having weirdly-configured Java... Try redownloading the .jar file and reinstalling Java, that's all I can think of that can fix it.

When I open the Forwarder jar file it won't open but it creates files : "make_rom" and "settings"

Those are created during the first launch, so that means something is causing it to stop before it can fully load (or at least before the GUI shows up), but I don't know what the reason for it could be.

I'm on Java 8 build 171-b11, but the problem you may be having may be coming from having x86 Windows, rather than Java, since it's not really the best runtime there is nowadays and it's pretty buggy on x86 systems. Just note that next time you have issues and once you find a working build that does what you want it to, don't update anymore:P
