No, you need to use h-encore if you have 3.68. Here's a guide: https://vita.hacks.guide/installing-h-encore
Remember that this exploit does not allow you to run enso. That means you have to reapply the exploit every time you reboot your vita. If you have a ps vita 1000 (fat) you also need a memory card.

Works on 3.65? There's a way to hack a 3.65 vita phat without a sony memory card?

I just asked a question about if it was possible o install Henkaku without a memory card, and for my surprise doing a little google search, i found MLTHaKu!

MLTHaKu Installs directly to ur0: and change molecular shell for vita shell!
It has several other options for you to try!

Here is some info:

Information

Welcome to the main repository where MLTHaKu is hosted.

Characteristics

It facilitates the process and installs the gamesd plugin for the sd2vita permanently in the PS Vita.
Replaces MolecularShell with VitaShell and installs Vita Homebrew Browser and installer for "Henkaku Ensō"
No longer requires an official memory for the normal use of the PS Vita as the installation of MLTHaKu

Requeriments

  1. Playstation Vita with firmware 3.60 installed
  2. SD2VITA with memory previously formatted in exFAT
  3. The SDFiles.zip file

Instructions for PS Vita without having previously installed Henkaku or SD2Vita

  • Insert the Micro SD in the pc and extract the contents of the file "SDFiles.zip" (only if the memory is clean and does not contain any file of the PS Vita)
  • We removed the official memory of the PS Vita with the console off and inserted the SD2Vita with the Micro SD
  • We turn on the console, open the browser and go to the following link "http://mlthaku.tk".
  • When the process is finished, we open the "Henkaku ensō" installer and install "Henkaku Ensō" (if you had it installed, reinstall it).
  • When the vita is restarted, the SD2Vita will be permanently mounted.
PS Vita with Henkaku or Henkaku was previously installed without SD2Vita previously installed

  • Insert the Micro SD in the pc and extract in it the contents of the file "SDFiles.zip"
  • With the console on and Henkaku / Henkaku loaded, we open VitaShell or MolecularShell, we go to ur0 delete the folder "Tai" and turn off the console.
  • We removed the official memory of the PS Vita with the console off and inserted the SD2Vita with the Micro SD.
  • We turn on the console, open the browser and go to the following link "http://mlthaku.tk".
  • When the process finishes, we open the installer of "Henkaku ensō" and install "Henkaku Ensō" (if you had it previously installed, reinstall it).
  • When the vita is restarted, the SD2Vita will be permanently mounted.
PS Vita with Henkakuo Henkaku previously installed with SD2Vita previously installed

Neat find, but it would only work on a 2000 model. Be pretty neat if there was something to do the same with a 1000.

Hello! I'm brand new to this site and this is my first post!

I'm rather new to the Vita Homebrew scene, and I have a model 1000 Vita running 3.60 without a proprietary memory card. I also have an sd2vita (version 3.00) that I'd like to set up with a properly formatted SD card.

From what I understand, I need to access ur0:/tai/config.txt. However, from what I've read I'd need to use Vitashell or something similar in order to get to it. Since I don't have a memory card it seems I can't install it.

I've searched everywhere and found no solution. Would I have to buy a memory card just so I can install Vitashell in order to set up sd2vita?

I'd rather not spend the money if I'd end up using it just for this...

EDIT:
So, I follow these instructions. I have my sd2vita 5.0 with formatted micro sd card inside the vita. I can get the mlthaku installer to at least load by going to http://mlthaku.tk. It runs, I press start, it downloads and unpacks some files, but I see no new bubbles on home screen. The light next to sd2vita does not light up. I do see Henkaku Settings in my settings, but no molecular shell bubble or enso installer. Any idea what to do? I don't have an official Sony mem card.

So, this allows us to hack a 3.60 vita without official Sony mem card, which is what I want.

But is there any downside to using this method to hack my vita vs the method outlined in the ultimate noob hacking guide?

I see that it uses a different URL than regular henkaku, and have read that the source is unpublished, what are the possible dangers of using this? bricking? spontaneous combustion? :P

Hi! Sorry for the late answer, it's been some time since I was into the vita scene. I was able to install Vitashell without a memory card, here's the video I watched: . It's on spanish but maybe you can understand something with translated subtitles. Even if you don't, you just have to follow the steps showed.

There's no risk with this method, I used it and it works ok. I don't know about your problem, maybe you should tried resetting and formatting everything, before doing the proccess again. I recommend you to watch the video I shared above to see if you are skipping or making a mistake on some step. You can also read this guide: http://www.psx-place.com/threads/ml...tallation-on-henkaku-w-out-memory-card.14691/ . I hope this helps you :)

I can't seem to find the sdfiles located anywhere. Can someone point me in the right direction please?
If you're using MLTHaKu, you shouldn't need any as I recall, but it's been awhile since I've used it. I just had to prep the card for use with sd2vita, the rest was handled by the exploit and it pulled everything it needed.

Have this been updated to work with 3.65?

If yes could anyone point to any guide and sdfiles.zip that is nowhere to be found...

(NOTE: Speculation only. I've nothing beyond repeated error 400 and some info from the WHOIS. The site had been working fine up through around 1:00pm ET today.)

Though this is just a sole, anecdotal experience, there appears to be a redirect with the "mlthaku.tk" domain. Screen snip posted (safe for work)

I have been using the site constantly for the last four hours.

Check https://whois.domaintools.com/mlthaku.tk for details. Last update to the WHOIS appears to be today (24 Aug)

NOTE: The WHOIS info does have some PII in the way of a contact and fax number. Please do not abuse these, and forgive me if I'm stating the obvious.

Quite some luck that the site would go kaput the day I get the card. Hopefully this gets resolved somehow. Google has a cache of the site as of the 23rd, but the link to the exploit also redirects (to a considerably worse location than above).

HENkaku with integrated gamesd plugin.
1) Prepare and put in your SD2VITA
2) Go to http://vitawiki.xyz/tf/ and do a force install (hold R)
3) Check your memory card in Vita settings
4) Go to the web site again TWO TIMES IN A ROW to install molecularShell (if you have any issues try hold R again)
5) If you saw 0x80af5022 error you must run installation a THIRD time (will try to solve this in a future).

Well, that works to get the memory card recognized thankfully, though it's not wanting to install molecularShell it seems. Downloads find, installation returns a result of 0x80af5022 if that's any use. Thanks though, that's a good step in the right direction.
