I don't want to run the risk of it breaking.
I currenly have ~2TB between photos, photo editing and scans taken in 15 years. I don't want to delete anything, or I wouldn't have been looking for a large data plan. I don't care if I have to spend money for a yearly plan, I consider it an insurance.If you need 5 TERA Bytes just for pictures, you are doing something wrong really... Even 50000 15MB POSTER images (which are like VERY high DPI 11000x11000 pixel images) don't take that much, so you definitely have too many, just delete some and use GDrive for the free 15GBs and MEGA (by far most reliable cloud at this point in time) to host the rest (offers 50GBs free). But why resort to cloud? Just get a small external HDD and you are good to go, MUCH cheaper than stupid paid hosts that need renewing of plan plus easy to carry around. If you feel like splurging a bit, just build your own server instead for basically as much storage as your HDDs can hold still cheaper than a 5TB data plan over years
Having your own server means less costs, only needing the upkeep and in case something happens, it's possible to recover files with certain programs and methods even if your HDDs get completely fried compared to a guaranteed loss if anything happens server-side on the cloud hosts. Also, just having a 2.5" external HDD is MUCH simpler, allows file recovery and you can carry it around, all with paying ONCE for many years of functionality, plus is cheaper, so you can even get two identical ones and backup everything twice just to have it all safe even if one of the drives were to fail for whatever reason and it's still cheaper than a 5TB cloud plan

Reason I said the 2 HDDs with the same files (if one fails, the other one is intact with the exact same files so you lost nothing). However, again, best cloud host in my opinion is MEGA by far, most reliable servers, literally never down and very reasonably priced.
Isn't the website from the same guy who got raided in NZ by the FBI for hosting Megaupload?
That was AGES back and FBI took that awesome site down more than 10 years ago, now it's all completely legal and reliable under new ownership. MEGA doesn't allow illegal files on there and even does tons of DMCA take downs and whatnot to keep itself clean. Trust me, I never had any issues with it and just 300€ a year for 8TBs storage is pretty darn good, especially since it has some crazy high bandwiths, higher ones than literally every other host really! Been using it for 5 years now, definitely best cloud host since the glory days of MediaFire!

Once MEGA gets a takedown request over copyrights for a file, it automatically deletes any file with the same HASH instantly from it's servers, even from private storage, meaning that while pirates use it and everything, if something goes down, it's down for good. Megaupload didn't do that, reason the site itself was seized.
OR you could've gotten the hint from my previous messages that I don't want any offline solution in fear of losing my files over accidents.
Didn't Megaupload also offer prizes when people would see/download your files? I recall it being $10.000 every million.
