Nintendo Switch version of Steep has been cancelled

RCjOLsZ.png

When the Nintendo Switch was initially announced, multiple AAA games were revealed for the console, one of them being Ubisoft's snowboarding game Steep. However, no news had been announced since the Switch developers reveal video, leading to a fan inquiring about the status of the game on Twitter. The official Steep account replied, casually letting everyone know that the Nintendo Switch port of the game has been officially cancelled. Instead, a focus will be put on new content and updates for the existing PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One versions of the game. Steep originally launched on December 2, 2016, and the Switch version was announced on January 7, 2017.

Ubisoft failed so much with this game, that it unironically makes me miss SSX Tricky, which was published with the short-lived EA Sports BIG label.
Bad news is, that we might not get a good SSX game anymore, ever since the ok-ish SSX game in 2012.

Shame. Plus, such a weird way to announce it. They had to be asked first.

That said, I didn't really care for this game and is not like Ubisoft is stopping all support. Not to mention, they could always start it back up again later on.

Reminds me of this.
