I found a gameboy game circuit board, any way to tell what game it is just by looking at it? I attached a picture of the front and back.

Let me know if I need to repost an image, they came out clear on my phone but when I posted them they look blurry? Could just be my side , here’s an extra picture of the one that looked blurry to me, hopefully it doesn’t upload blurry too..

It's a copy of "Dinosaur’us". You can tell by the PCB code in the upper right (DMG-A06-01). Even perfectly matches the photos here : https://gekkio.fi/blog/2016-03-19-game-boy-cartridge-pcb-photos.html

Thanks man! I looked up the pcb code but google search provided very random things, nothing to do with the game, so assuming everything is working, I can clean it up, buy a blank shell and use it?

What’s even more odd, this game wasn’t released in the US, but I found it laying on the ground here in Arizona haha

I think the dmg-a06-01 is just a particular cartridge design. My copy of super Mario Bros deluxe is clear so I can see the same DMG-A06-01 on the board.

I see, so no real way of knowing without hooking it up to a device?
I really have no knowledge of cartridges. Perhaps someone will eventually identify other markings on the card but I think it's usually the text or numbers on the chips themselves that usually identify what's on a cartridge, and judging by your pictures, it looks like all text has worn off the chips?

Yeah sadly. Like I said, I found it in the dirt haha. Thanks for the reply though, I’ll keep you guys updated if I find anything new about it

Could you look on the biggest black chip on the bottom right? It could be that the game code is written on there.
It can be very hard to see, try to reflect some light on it if you can't see it straight away.

[EDIT]
I currently have 5 options:
- Denki Blocks!
- Moorhuhn 2
- David Beckham Soccer
- Lego Island 2 - The Brickster's Revenge
- Zidane Football Generation

The carts of these games should all have the '01 on the back of the board, just like your game cart. Together with the fact they have the same board type: DMG-A06-01.

yeah as guy above said, if you can see the text in the biggest chip, usually its the rom and it is where the game name code is printed. but from the picture seems it was washed out...
its a very odd cart.

you can't get a GBA or earlier to test it out?

Sadly no, if I did I'd just 3d print a new case for it lol

Well, the cheapest way to find out then is by lending a Game Boy from someone and test the cartridge out :)
