I don't know about freeShop. I'm guessing it will just stop working once they make 11.8 mandatory for eShop.

I know ninty milking the 3ds for what its worth waiting on successor. But i feel its kinda a little too damn late for them to be JUST getting around to something like this.

Hi,
I want to know more about the movable.sed file. I read the guide on 3ds.guides and it says that if I want to mod my 3ds (based on my version) I would need to break my SD card encryption using that movable.sed file.
But I don’t understand what is that file exactly?
What does it contains? Just the key to the SD encryption? If so would I be able to decrypt the files on my SD card this way?
I actually don’t want to install any Homebrew or CFW on my device. I just want to edit a save file for a game that saves its data to the SD card.
I’m sorry if my question is irrelevant to here.

After doing a little poking around in FBI I realized it’s not supposed to show up in the main Homebrew menu but in the FBI

I've been away for a while and have just got back into playing my N2DSXL. It's on 11.6.0 and has latest GM9, Luma (9.1), FBI (2.5.0) installed via SD card from Github.

Whenever I switch on my N2DSXL it's asking me to update - is this safe?

Is there a way to extract the new pokemon crystal virtual console game and convert it to a gbc rom file? So i can play it on the switch emulator?

Edit: nvm, i decrypted the cia/romfs file and found the rom inside.

@Quantumcat just wanted to post a final update on the status of the weird shenanigans. I swapped my old SD card into my O3DS and it worked fine, then I messed around with the new one and guiformat and may or may not have changed it for the better. I then used the h2test program which said everything (save for the 1MB of untestable storage) was good to go. I put my N2DS data on it and it's been running fine now, so I guess I just got reallllyyy unlucky somehow when trying to get started. Thanks a ton for your help in my trying times!

I dont want to boot cfw, if the card still supports it with a switch or something I dont care.
It would be also nice if you could point me to a legit shop for Germany.

There is no legit shop in germany since flashcards are illegal in germany but the best flashcard you can get is R4i gold 3ds plus
