Since I thought this was a cool idea I wanted to try it out, but got stuck when the gamecube controller never showed up on my PC.
mntorankusu gave a good documentation about it's datastructure, so I was able to figure out this myself using vJoy instead of PPjoy.
I use mntorankusu's homebrew.DOL to broadcast the button inputs to 192.168.1.255 on port 9501.
My 'server' application is written in python and is using vJoy API to create a virtual device.

- A, B, X and Y can be read from using gamecube controller connected to Wii
- START can be read from using gamecube controller connected to Wii
- D-PAD partly works, it only got 9 different values on X-Axis/Y-Axis
- There is only one virtualized controller yet, so it's not support multiple controllers yet
