Séfu Switch Bag Launches on Kickstarter

upload_2018-7-23_20-18-3.png

Since its launch early last year, the Switch has made huge waves. Blowing away sales expectations and putting forward a fantastic library of varied and brilliant games, the system is still rocking on the road of success. So far, we've seen third party docks, a plethora of skins and cases, and even a third party Joy Con from Hori. Despite the flood of third party accessory support, I today found myself surprised as the Séfu Switch Bag made its way to Kickstarter. Marketing itself as the perfect bag for the system, it is perfectly sized to fit and protect it with Joy Cons attached, as well as house games and accessories. Along with a stylish design, and pricing options, it seems like a great product. I backed it myself and I do feel it's worth checking out, but something greater on my mind regarding it is the idea of gaming fashion as a whole. It simply isn't something you commonly see outside of heretics and revolutionary thinkers, such as the brilliant mind that put the Wii U into a jacket.

Ideas like this (the bag, not the Wii U jacket) blur the lines between console accessory makers and items that have potential outside of the sphere of gaming. It feels like an attempt to normalise what is ultimately a niche product and pull together both a society of gamers and society as a whole. To me, this is interesting, and it has me wondering how far the idea of gaming fashion can be taken without once again pushing itself into the obscure and strange.

What do you think? Are you interested in products like Séfu? Would the Wii U jacket be something you'd genuinely consider? Let us know your thoughts.

i don't see the point on carrying the switch when the battery will be dead the second i attempt to play anything.
I dont see the point of buying a bag to hold it if it has no strap
youll have to put in your pocket or in another bag, which can be done for free

You can squeeze a couple of hours just fine. There are powerbanks if you need more. (Un)Fortunately, it isn't a Nintendo-only problem so I still have to carry a powerbank around regardless of having a Switch with me or not.

This is why Switch is a terrible portable. Wearing a fucking bag just because you want to play some games on the go, that's frustrating.

I love the New 3DS and the fact that it fits inside the pocket of every pair of jeans I have, and I'm very sad we'll never see a true successor from the big N.

What's the thinnest available bag/sleeve/case for the Switch out there?

Nintendo probably noticed that everyday hardware has been growing in size since Samsung stepped in the Android market.

honnestly, I think I would have preferred Fusion Project
It was a very powerful home console and a powerful enough handheld
they were called Fusion Terminal and Fusion DS
some feature in some games got unlocked if you had both

but it ended up being a fake rumor :(

I have this one https://www.amazon.com/Nintendo-Portable-Carrying-Cartridges-Accessories-Sswitch/dp/B0769GCSMK/
Can still fit the sx pro, and a few other accessories in it

Using a bag to carry the device is inefficient when you can just buy a little carrying case off Ebay for less than $5 and put it into your already existing school bag. It would be safer and better concealed.

Looks good.
But I want to carry my 8 inch ebook reader as well.
Does anybody know a good bag for a Switch and a 8 inch tablet/reader?

i dont either, i mean, no strap?
might as well put it directly in your pocket or in a bag with a strap
It does look like it comes with a strap, though I can understand those thinking it looks like a purse lol
