Nintendo hinted at something being in the works for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and they've finally unveiled what it was. MK8D has received a update which adds in content from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Link can now wear his Breath of the Wild tunic, and the "Master Cycle Zero" from the Champion's Ballad DLC is now available as a motorcycle kart. The update is up on the eShop, and can be downloaded as of tonight.

Agree with the above re maps/courses. It’s already a re-hash of the wii u version. Either add some maps or get cracking on MK9.... with all the smash bros characters!

Great. Not even Mario stuff. Why not add more characters instead. Why don’t we have Goomba playable yet? Because they needed that slot for Pink Gold Peach, the most well known Mario character of course. Baby Pink Gold Cat Metal Mario & Knuckles XL is coming soon I heard.

I heard that dry baby pink gold tanooki cat metal waluigi & knuckles XL ft. dante from the devil may cry series will be in the next update

Agreed. Do you know how jarring it would be to see a goomba holding a banana peel while parachuting a motorcycle through space on roads made of rainbows? It would totally ruin the immersion for me.

I don't really like having non-mario stuff in Mario kart. Tbh animal crossing fit pretty well because the artsyles for the models are similar enough that it doesnt clash with the Mario characters. But I wouldnt really want to see olimar and Mr game and watch throwing bananas and Mr Saturns at Mario characters because it just never ends up looking right and especially would be a downer for a series with such a good looking smooth artstyle
