Tutorial  Updated

Match version with local users - Update your backups without going online on CFW (Need two switches)

You can update games on your switch in SX OS or other CFW without going online. (You need to disable Airplane mode).
You need to have the original cartridge or atleast have the tile on the homescreen or have had the game inside your switch at any point.
This can also be done with another user's switch instead of original who has updated backups in SX OS.

Switches Need to be on same version, Use this guide if you arent trying to burn fuses

This has been posted already as far as i know, let me look for it..:

Yup, isnt this the same tutorial?

How are they the same? You dont need to connect the Via internet at all.
Also my guide is even for a device that never connected to internet.

7. Start the console, without connecting it to the network, and press the minus button while you are on the tab of the game you want to update.
8. On the menu that appeared, there's a tab named "Software Update" an in it option "Via the internet" that you should choose.
9. Choose your network when the list is loaded.
10. It will start to download your game update. When finished and the game is ready, repeat step 6 before anything else, just to assure yourself that there's no update on the system and you have no longer connection trough which it could be downloaded.

If you have 2 switches, why go through all of this? Just play your backups on your second switch and don't link it to a NNID... if theres no Nintendo Account, nothing to ban, but you still get updates...

it doesn't necessarily have to be your own switch, maybe a friend who has that game, or if you are just planning to buy the game and returning it.

Both of you need to have the game launched at least once on your Switches, whether legitimately through the cartridge or as a backup via SX OS.

will this update my switch past 4.10? Or will it just update my friend's DB Xenoverse game and system firmware to match mine?

Edit:My 4.10 switch will be the source switch if that's not clear

Hello,
I stupidly tried updating Diablo with this method on two switch with cfw (on version 6 or below) from a non hacked switch on firmware 7.0. I didn't knew my friend updated his switch...
The switchs now cannot boot from Hekate because of a firmware error. Yeah I know, sucks to be a noob.

Do you guys know what Solutions are available to me to make my switchs working again ?
Wait for a stable way to update my cfw to 7.0 (should be available in a couple of weeks)

Flash boot 0 and 1 and reinstall everything? Is there no way to avoid having to reinstall every game? They were all installed on the SD card.

Thx for your help, I'm a it lost here....
