If the NTSC to PAL video mode patch still boots to black screen, then there is nothing you can do about it I'm afraid, this is only referring to Wii injects. The game (ISO/WBFS) will work fine in vWii mode using USB Loader GX.
Why does these games work in vWii modes using backup loaders such as USB Loader GX and not Wii injects you ask? This is because these backup loaders have built in methods, patches, tricks etc.. to make them work. While Wii injects is just replacing the original game with another game and it's very limited as to what we can do with the injects.

From my knowledge, there are some JAP (also including English Translations) games that require your SYSTEM LANGUAGE settings to be to Japanese for the games to boot, of course our EUR/PAL and USA console doesn't have the Japanese language as an option. So these types of game will always boot to black screen.

Are there a particular game that your having issues with?

Oh wow. That helped a lot.

I really wanted to put Bleach versus crusade on with english translation. The game was so fun.

Then MH Tri due to my old data.

A bunch of other japanese wii games which goes black.

How to remove/patch error 2 and patch console language detection:

Requirements: Google is your friend to find the two apps.
- Generic Wii Patcher 1.2
- Wiiscrubber 1.40
- Game ISO (if you only have the WBFS file, use Wii Backup Manager to convert back to ISO)

Steps:
- Launch Wiiscrubber 1.40, then load the ISO file (make sure you have a backup of the ISO file before proceeding)
- Depending on the game, you may have one or two partitions, you need to expand the "DATA" partition.
- Right click on main.dol file and select extract and save to a folder.
- No need to close Wiiscrubber, just minimise it as we will need to come back to this a little later.
- Launch Generic Wii Patcher 1.2, then open the main.dol file.
- Generic Wii Patcher has several functions, for this tutorial we are focusing on Error xxx-Fix and Console language detection options.
- To patch/remove either Error 001 or Error 002, simply click Search, then Remove.
- To patch the Console language detection, click Search, then use the drop down option to change your language and then click Patch to new language.
- Once your done, click Save and close the app.
- Back to the Wiiscrubber app, right click on the main.dol file and select Replace, then select the main.dol file you just modified with Generic Wii Patcher.
- There is NO save option, as the changes you make with Wiiscrubber saves on the fly.
- Congratulations, your ISO has now been patched.
- Inject Wii ISO as per normal and test.

Generic Wii Patcher also have the ability to:
Video Mode Changer: Feel free to use this option but it is not required because the Wii injector script already have this option using wii-vmc app.
Country strings: I believe this option is to change the region code of the game, similar to the RegionFrii app.

UPDATE:
I just tried injecting Bleach - Versus Crusade (English Menu/System Translation Patch), game loads, but gets stuck at Now Loading screen.
Re injected with the Error 002-Fix + Console Language detection and set to EUR, this didn't make a difference.
From my understanding with this game, the Error 002 fix is needed but it also needs to run a specific cIOS to work??? We don't have this luxury when injecting Wii games. So this could be one of the reasons why this game wont work and possible other games as well.

Yes i tried that all myself . Pretty much all combinations trim or not to trim still haven't made bleach versus crusade to work . A guy on this forum mentioned something that some japanese games look for the console settings to find the japanese language , i dont know if thats the case but if it was wouldnt the Console language detection you mentioned fix that? So since we cant select which IOS to run on there is no solution from what you are saying right?

For those JAP games that require the system language to be Japanese, yes I would assume the console language detection would resolve this but it doesn't. In the past I tried to inject a few JAP Wii games that require the language to be set to Japanese, I used the language detection patch and it made no difference. Either it's not compatible because of the way the official Wii VC's were created or requires cIOS to work, this is out of my scope to know what is required.
From my experience and reading though most of the replies on this thread when it first started, yes, current method of Wii injects, you can't select what cIOS to boot unlike the native Wii backup loaders. Every now and then I would re visit and try different things out to get these games to work and all have failed, I might get lucky one day and fluke it :)

Bigtime noob question...what exactly is an injector? Is it just an easier way to put backups onto your wii u? I have my wii u set up with haxchii and load games via sd with wup installer(i think thats the name?). I did this like a year ago and I'm just wondering if there are better options now...and if that's what this is. I'm going to set my brother's wii u up with backups of all his games so I'm reading this site again, and I don't know if I'm just dumb or what but I have a hard time figuring out what methods are out of date or whatever. I'm sure I'll figure it out but I saw this thread and it seemed cool but I really wasn't sure exactly what it was :) Thanks in advance.

what exactly is an injector?
An injector replaces parts of a legit title with parts from another game so you can then install that other game as if it were a real title. It doesn't replace the method you use to install the title, which is still WUP Installer.

Hey everyone, I apologize if this was already talked about somewhere and I missed it

Every game that I've tried thus far in this has turned out really nice - the one I'm struggling with right now is Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition. Maybe I'm remembering incorrectly, and while I understand Wii games were nothing to write home about, I don't remember it looking as bad as it does when I'm playing it on the Wii U.

I don't really know how to describe it, has anyone tried it out and noticed this? maybe it has always looked that awful and my memory painted a prettier picture.

I don't understand the vWii NAND Title Launcher. It looks like it's used for injecting WiiWare games, but I can't figure out how to do it. For example, I type in Megaman 10's title ID, but the Internal Game Name and Internal Game Title ID are then listed as N/A. I don't see a way to add the actual WAD file itself.

Post a screenshot. I have a physical copy of the game I can compare it to. I have a feeling it may be just the way Wii U upscales Wii games.

This lets you create an icon that launches a (usually WiiWare) title that you've already installed on your vWii NAND.

Where can I find a tutorial to install "acquired" WiiWare on my vWii? I've read doing so can brick the vWii, but I don't know if there are better, safer methods.

Hi guys, need a little help if possible.
I used to have the WiiU setup with Nintendont and USBLoaderGX. Kids had issues so I just moved everything to standard Wii consoles. I'm trying now to inject games that work in vWii but all I get is 'the black screen'. Waiting a few minutes results in the WiiU rebooting. I have CBHC 1.6 in autoboot. I've tried WiiU USB helper downloads of Metroid Prime Trilogy, Luigi's Mansion, and Super Mario Galaxy 2 as well as an inject I did on my own of Super Paper Mario - all of them black screen.

I have read a substantial portion of this thread and I am just not 'getting it'. Do I need to do anything to my already modded vWii?

You don't do anything to the vWii if you're installing Wii games. You need the Wii U itself modded (which I see you have with Haxchi). You'll need WUP Installer. In the injector, make sure you have the Wii U common key and the title key for Rhythm Heaven (don't remember which one, but the program should say).

The Definitive vWii Hacking Guide! has a section for installing WADs.

Thanks

is the ampersand not supported?

& is not support, so is é which is used in Pokemon, you will get a nice "?" icon on the WiiU menu if you use these symbols.

These symbols works:
:
/
\
(
)
.
,
-

I'm sure other symbols will work, but I normally try to limit the symbols used in the Title Description to be safe.
