Team-Xecuter Releases SX OS v1.2

TX Releases Another Update To Their SX OS, with the big feature everyone was waiting for 'CARD2' support!
txos12.jpg

Earlier this weekend, we were informed by TX that they were busy putting the finishing touches on yet another major update to their very popular SX OS, and now with v1.2 you have what everyone was screaming for since the first release, the latest 'card2' games! :)
It's been a busy week at the Team-Xecuter headquarters, after releasing v1.1 of SX OS we got (yet again) a good amount of feedback from the community.

Let's jump straight into the changes for version 1.2 of SX OS:
  • Added Card2 support
A small dozen (currently released) games were not compatible with SX OS, we tracked down these incompatibilities with these so-called "CARD2" games and fixed them. You can now fully enjoy `Sushi Striker' and other games!
  • Added downgraded fuse support
In v1.1 we added a protection against programming fuses. What was not added was a bypass for the "fuse checks", this has now been addressed. Advanced users who want to enjoy "downgraded" firmwares can now do so!
  • Improved homebrew compatibility
Without going into complicated details, homebrew compatibility has been improved once again. Give your problem homebrew titles another spin, and let us know if any problems remain. We're sure this should be a big improvement.
As always, updating SX OS is simply a matter of replacing "boot.dat" in the root of your microSD card. No need to re-activate your license or anything.

Stay tuned for more updates. We're far from done!

I have a question about SX OS and game updates. I don't have an internet connection configured in my switch but wen I run a game with SX OS it asks for a game update.
How does it know there's an update if I don't have Internet connection?

The latest horizon update (5.1) probably has a database of latest versions of every title available at the time of it's release

You mean that the license on the dongle is unused then?
Basically yes, if you user SX OS prior to SX PRO, your SX OS license will be tied into the fingerprint of you Switch.
You actually can use SX Pro on as much Switches as you want to BUT it only comes with ONE license included for SX OS.
So in your and mine situation the SX Pro included license is UNUSED, hence if you have a secondary Switch or need a new one later due to whatever reason, you still have an SX OS license through the SX Pro you can match to that specific fingerprint.

Hope that made sense ;)

Just a small thing (being an OCD type person), it would be nice if SX OS looked in a folder on root called roms rather than having root littered with files

Simply love having a tidy sd card haha

Doubt they would implement it just for one person though
I dont even have it yet and knowing this has already triggered my OCD :/

Mine came the very same morning we were heading off on holiday for 2 weeks so only got to look at it for about an hour

I think the thing that really shocked me was just how tiny this thing is, it looks bloody huge in all marketing blurb and YouTube videos

It works though !
